“Instructor Andrew.” He called out the instructors behind him.

“Yes?” Instructor Andrew asked.

“Can I do anything I want without using any mana manipulation?” he asked.

[What is this student planning?] “Of course. That is the whole point of the physical test.” He answered a whim.

“That’s a relief.” Raven said as he slightly turns his head towards the instructor.

*PSSSHHHHK!*

Instructor Andrew’s eyes widen as he saw that Raven’s eyes were partially turning black.

[What is happening to that student’s eyes?!] “Hey what is happening to your eyes?” he mumbles in shock. [Eh? What were the writings around his eyes? They were far too complex to be a rune formation, I have never seen those characters.] he thought as he stood in his place with pale face.

[I know that this is just the weak version of the golem but I need to show them [how weak they are.] he thought as he smiles ominously.

The moment Raven unlock uses his ability, his corrupted counter-part tries to take over him.

Raven’s heart started racing the moment the corrupted part of him takes a little control of his body.

[Did my excitement woke it up? I did not expect it to awaken with just this small thing.] he thought as he extends his hands.

“Is he ready now? I am getting really impatient here.” a student in the crowd said.

“It’s not only you miss. Everyone seems to be in a hurry.” Another one added.

“Do you have plans after this?”

“Most of us do right?”

The students started to chatter from impatience.

[It’s like that time, in the ruins.] Jared thought as he stare at Raven.

“This is taking so long, let me get in there and finish it first. That stupid new student is taking so much time!” a student said with an angry voice as he walk towards Raven.

The other students heard him and did the same and started walking along, Jared heard what the student said and blocks their way. His huge body stood like a tower before them that his shadow cover them all while staring daggers at them.

“J-Jared Lionheart, what are you doing?” the student said with a broken voice.

“That’s my line. What are you doing trying to walk in there when the new student is there testing his physical abilities?” he said with a serious tone.

The other students behind him started to return to their places after seeing Jared’s serious face.

“I think I change my mind.” A student said as he walks away.

“It’s Jared Lionheart, even demi-humans respect him. Let’s go, we don’t want to mess up with him.” A student whispered.

“Does the new student have a connection with him as well?” a student whispered as he glance the giant behind them.

All the other students who wants to walk in the center disappeared like fog and only the first student who complained remains.

“And what are you still doing here?” Jared said with a stern expression.

“Th-That guy is taking so long, how come you are not irritated by what’s happening? Even the demi-human’s patients are dwindling.” He said with a nervous tone.

“Is that so? Did those words come directly from their lips? Well, whatever. Go back and don’t even think about doing this again. You might miss out on your life if you do so.” He said with a cold expression.

[What is this?! Why does so many renowned students try to suck up to the new student?! This is so unfair!] he thought as he grits his teeth while turning his back on Jared.

“A wise choice, please don’t do this again. I just saved your life.” He said to the student as he walks back as well.

[What is that guy saying? He saved my life?] the student complains in his head.

[Its better not to get close to him, I know better since it happened and saw it with my own eyes. He is the reason that the guild is still alive. To think that he will attend the academy as a new student, father will be glad to know that I can come in contact with Raven easily.] he thought as he walks slowly.

Raven extends his arm as the sand rose from the cracks on the floor from the previous events.

*PSSSHHK!*

The sand forms an unusual spear with a three curved blade like fins on both side of its main blade. The form is vague as the sand still floats in the air then suddenly a strong shockwave of wind shook the air as the sand compressed and gave a solid form to the spear.

*BOOM!*

*PULK!*

*PSSSSHH!*

“Hey I thought using mana manipulation is not allow in a physical test, why does that guy uses mana manipulation then!?” a student cried after seeing what Raven did.

The other students started to complain as well.

“It can’t be considered a cheat since he made that thing with his mana manipulation. If he uses any mana manipulation spell then it can be called a violation but since he still did not do anything then he is still safe.” A demi-human student said among the crowd of the complaining students.

“How can you say that?-“

The student’s denial was interrupted when another human student cut in.

“That is a tool he made with mana manipulation but it does not mean that he will use mana against that golem. Everybody here knows that that golem is famous for being the anti-magic golem, if you knew of that in the first place, why would you still continue use mana manipulation spells? Makes sense right?” the human student cut in with a serious tone. “Just shut up and watch before you start blabbering some pointless things.” He added.

Raven holds the spear when it instantly turned solid after a few seconds the sands compressed.

[Huh? If that spear is made of sand then even if you compress it, it will still crumble because they are not a single body. Don’t tell me-] both instructor Edward and Andrew’s eyes widen as their mouths fell wide open when they both thought of the reason at the same time.

“That’s strange, sand should crumble even if compressed. Unlike air, sand are like grains that does not stick to each other unless-“ the student with the glasses stops.

The students around him as well as his classmates turns their head to him after hearing his voice.

[This guy is like a walking wisdom, listening to him is not a waste.] Kate thought as she waits for what he is about to say.

The other students thought of it as well as they started to come closer to the student with the glasses.

[Don’t tell me he used fire to melt it down to retain its form and cool it down with water or ice in an instant?!]

Both instructors concluded as they stare at Raven with shock. The student with the glasses chuckles surprising every student around him.

“Hehehe, he is a genius. While manipulating the earth, he also used fire and water or ice to make that spear a reality. To make a decent weapon it needs a lot of work but to think that he made it without any tools that even the best blacksmiths need. Who knows how many times he used both elements to make that spear, his talent is exceptional. No- it’s out of this world!” he said as he adjusted his glasses with a big smirk in his face.

The students around him that are listening to what he said are caught by surprise by what he said.

[He said Raven is a genius?! No way, that can’t be. He never went to an educational institute.] Kate thought as she took a quick glance at Raven then turns to the student with the glasses.

“I don’t understand what you are saying. Are you saying he used multiple mana types at the same type?” a student asked the student with the glasses with a confused expression.

“But to use three or four mana type at the same time like you said, isn’t he a lot powerful? If he can use three then he might be able to use all of the mana types as well.” A student added.

[I also think that might be the case, but we do not really know yet since there is not much evidence that he can do so.] the student with the glasses thought as he looks at the student who asked.

“I don’t know but it’s a possibility. I have not much information about him since he is new here. And if it’s true then we shouldn’t be afraid of that because he might be the key to defeat the demon lord in the future.” He said as he adjusted his glasses with a smile.

“Doesn’t that mean that the new student is the strongest student in the whole of the academy?”

A student whispered to the others besides her who immediately nodded.

“Did that student make a spear out of nowhere?” Neon Quas said with a surprised tone.

[There is no mistaking it, he is the bearer.] Both Rowan and Gilbert thought as they glance at each other.

[Earth, fire, water and air. That student has excellent control over the mana types that he is using like he is doing it for years. And the stance earlier, I am pretty sure that that sword stance is from our royal family. Where did he learn such things? To control four elements at the same time put him above every student here in the academy.] Blake Lenus thought as he stare intensely at Raven.

“Hey, Kai. Did you see what he just did?” Nash asked.

“Y-You mean what the process that made that spear?”

Kai said with a nervous tone as Nash nodded in immediate response.

“*Gulp!* It was only for a brief moment but I saw everything from the forming to the process of hardening the sand and making it into a full blown spear, I saw it all.” He said in a nervous tone as sweat starts to run down his cheeks.

“Your keen eyes are very useful in this kind of situation.” Nash said as he turns his head towards Raven at the center of the testing ground. “I only manage to see a little bit since it happened in an instant.” He added. [To think that a guy so talented in mana manipulation to stay underground for a long period of time.] he thought as he grit his teeth in anxiety.

Raven held the spear and spin it around with his swift moving hands as he proceed to his stance.

*FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!* *FWOOOP!*

The spear spins like it was made of rope instead of metal.

“Whoa, did you see that?” a student mumbles in marvel.

“He spins that long spear like it was made of rope, that mastery. I don’t remember someone in the city that teaches how to handle spears since mostly our weapons are sword, axe, shield and others rarely uses daggers.” A demi-human said as she crossed her arms. “And that stance is very unfamiliar.” She added.

*TYUNG!* *TYUNG!* *TYUNG!* *TYUNG!*

“Hmmm, the golem started to move when it senses that the student is ready. It really is a master piece, it looks like it had its own consciousness.” Neon Quas said with his arms crossed.

[That spear stance is quite familiar. Where did I see that again?] Blake Lenus thought as he bites off on his apple.

The golem started to walk towards Raven who leaned forward.

*TYUNG!* *TYUNG!*

With every step that the golem make a corresponding tremor shakes the ground.

[Aranx said that this weapon and stance is the least of his favorite but this stance is what I like the most out of all the stances that he taught me.] he thought with a smile.

Raven leans forward and moves his right foot backward to throw the spear with all his might producing a wave of wind that reached even the students and instructors behind him.

*FWOOOOSH!*

*CLANK!*

The spear hit the golem’s chest and bounce off behind it.

“I knew it, all that wait for just a joke.-“

A student said as his jaw drop when Raven disappeared on his tracks then appeared and caught his spear spinning in the air.

[Fast-]

Everyone thought after seeing Raven’s movement.

With all his might he threw his spear again from above and hit the golem’s shoulder, the spear bounced off again towards the students who are watching. Raven used the roof as a stepping stone and accelerates immediately at the spinning spear.

“Move!” Thomas thought as he yelled to his friends when the spear is moving towards them.

Cassiopeia stumbled when the students bump into her and left her alone facing the spinning spear.

[It’s coming towards me. It’s too late to dodge now.] she thought as she saw the spinning spear move closer and closer.

*SHWU!* *SHWU!* *SHWU!* *SHWU!*

Time seem to have stop when the spinning spear was about to hit Cassiopeia when Raven appears in front of her catching the spear. Their eyes met, Cassiopeia saw how Raven’s eyes changed. His eyes turned black leaving only his pupil their purple color. The change is his eyes sent chills to her spine, she also saw the ancient writings around Raven’s eyes.

“Sorry.” He said with a calm tone.
