Aranx the first Chaos

The disappearance of Raven gave relief to those who are twisted enough to think ill of their fellow human being. His mother on the other hand spent sleepless nights just to find his only son searching everywhere she can think of.

“It will happen to him eventually, somebody just made the first move.” A man said as they gossip to the other people around them.

“I’m actually grateful to the one who did that” another man added.

They all look so happy with the news that the so called bad omen has been dealt with. One of the kids who got rid of Raven overheard what the adults have been talking about, after hearing good feedbacks about what they did he went to the others to report.

Raven’s mom pass by them, they stayed quite as if they are afraid of her even when her only companion, her son is missing. She did not bother to look at their faces as she is more worried about the situation of her son.

Her eyes redden as her search for every nook and cranny around the city continues.

[He will return for sure, I have faith in you my precious son.] She thought as she move from place to place.

The other adults look at her with pity and wondering as to why she would go to such efforts to find her son that she knows everyone hates.

[Meanwhile]

As Raven’s unconscious body float at the bottom of the lake he started to gain consciousness, his eyes slowly opened. His eyes suddenly widen as he saw and remembered that he drawn at the lake.

[How? How am I still alive? Is this just a dream? It doesn’t matter anymore, maybe it is a good thing that I died.] He thought as he decided to close his eyes.

Not feeling any changes, he open his eyes again he tried to move but he can’t, then he remembered that he was tied up when he was thrown into the lake.

He move his hand to confirm that he is still alive after a quite some time at the bottom of the lake.

[What the?] He thought.

He can certainly feel the water around his arms no, his entire body. But what baffle him more is that the water did not enter his body through the various places.

He started to struggle in panic.

[What the hell is going on?] He continued to think.

[What kind of joke is this?! If you want to kill me, kill me already! I don’t want to suffer a few more sufferings!] He shout inside his head.

Then suddenly a voice vibrated into the water.

“Are [don’t you] you certain [want revenge?] about that decision?”

The voice comes from behind him. He could not entirely understand what it said so he struggles to turn his body around. The hair on his entire body stood up as he saw where the voice came from, it is a majestic sight but the other half is kind of ominous, a hood covers its face and it had no wings on its back, an angel. He froze in his spot as the angel clad in bright armor holding a long sword move slowly towards him.

It points its hand towards him and said something her could not have ever imagine.

“You, [you who have] suffered a lot [been mistreated] of hardships [as a human born of chaos] mortals must [must take revenge] love each other.” It said with a staggering voice.

It spoke without opening its mouth, Raven could not understand what is happening to him decided to reply.

[How did you know about that?] he answered in thought.

“I [we] have seen [saw how you are] your circumstance [treated poorly] fateless one [oh son of chaos] the destined savior of this world [the destined savior of this world].” It answered.

He could not believe what he heard from the angel and denied its revelation.

“How could someone like me save this world, you might have mistaken me for someone else. I don’t even know you.” He thought.

“Thou are [you are] a part of me [the son of the first chaos] everything that had [those things happened] happened to you over the years [was to lead you back] was to lead you back [to us] to me.”

His eyes widened as tears left his eyes and became one with the water of the lake. He grit his teeth and ask but this time he opened his mouth, not caring if the water came pouring into his mouth.

“Who are you? How do you know all of these?” he ask in a sad tone.

“I am Aranx, [we are chaos] who descended from the heavens [the first chaos created three hundred years ago] that aided the mortals in subjugating the demon lord and lead the mortals to the right path [but it seems that they walk a different path they ought to take.]” the angel confessed.

Raven could still not believe everything the being told him, to clear his suspicion he request the angel to take its hood off. The angel did what he ask and warn him of a sudden bright light that may burn his eyes. The angel took off his hood and reveal its handsome face with blinding light.

His left eye had a different color, it is red. It does not have any pupil on both eyes like a blind person, the color red and yellow occupies the whole eyes. Irregular vein like lines with same color as its left eye scatter around in the left side of its face.

“Do not fear [this is the] this is my real form, [my tainted form] as per your request.” The angel said without opening its mouth.

“Are you really an angel? I thought angels had wings.” He ask.

He can talk more freely unlike earlier.

“[Foolishness!] Mortals have the tendency [its blasphemy] to add something that does not exist [mortals always do unnecessary things]” it corrected Raven’s belief.

“Wings are not [only weak beings need wings] essential to fly [for flight].” It continued.

“How am I able to speak underwater?” Raven ask.

The angel saw that Raven tried to break free from the rope that the kids used to tie him up. The angel points his finger to the rope and it starts to turn to ash. Raven marvel as he saw the rope turn to ash instantly.

“Such trivial things [you worry] are nothing [useless things].” The angel answered.

“Are all angels as strong as you?” he ask immediately.

“No, [Wrong, I am just the overseer] but there are others [of the mortals] above me who are far stronger that [this world is under my care] serve the Almighty.

Raven ask various things and the angel answered them all. Raven continued to interrogate the angel for a while gaining knowledge about some things, but there are certain things that the angel cannot disclose.

“Why?” he ask.

“It is not time [you are still not] for you to know [ready yet].” The angel explained to Raven.

The young boy understood the angel’s circumstance so he nod. After a while Raven got used to the environment that he currently is, he never got hungry nor thirsty. Until the image of his mother pop into his mind.

“Is it possible for me to go home?” he ask in a nervous voice.

The angel knew what he had in mind and nod as an answer.

“You said that my sole purpose is to save this world from the demon lord right?”

The angel nodded.

“Train me, make me someone that will rival- no, make me someone that will fulfill my purpose in this world.” Raven said with eyes burning with passion to fulfill his dream.

The angel smiled and send chills down to Raven’s spine. He did not expect that the angel would do that. The angel walk towards him and pat his shoulder.

“As you already know, I am a wimp, if I return with the way that I am now, my purpose will never be fulfilled.” Raven continued.

“[And yet you started to train three years ago]” a devilish voice came out from the angel’s mouth.

It was different from the gentle voice that he heard earlier and this time the angel’s mouth move when it spoke.

“That is [the only] sole purpose [that you are] why the Almighty lead you [back to us].”

The angel in a gentle voice once again.

The angel pat his chest, Raven felt purified like he never felt so refreshed in his entire life.

A sword slowly rose from the ground, it was a beautiful sword with a marvelous finish, and its blade looks really sharp that it can cut a tree branch just by touching it. After the whole sword reveal its entire body, the angel grab it and swing it a few times. Raven is in awe at seeing such a beautiful sword before his eyes.

“This beautiful [weapon of mass destruction] sword is a masterpiece [a gift from the Lord] that the Almighty left in my care [to subjugate the demons]. Its name is Fragarach, the sword of truth [Harbinger of Light]. The angel explain further. “This sword’s wounds will not heal even if you do anything and if you use [stab this sword] to a deceased or alive person, the person’s soul will tell you the truth and would never lie about your questions.

“You are going to train [like hell] and fulfill [our purpose].”

A great feeling overwhelm Raven, joy. The angel agreed and told him about the things that he will be learning.

“I, [we] will teach you swordsmanship and mana manipulation.” Aranx said as a blue flame appear above his finger.

After a few hours of talking they started to go on with their training, at first Raven had a hard time keeping up with Aranx’s speed in swordsmanship and mana manipulation. It was a hard first try but he kept on doing everything he can. Aranx did not give him a time to rest and went on training seven days straight without any rest.
