Jennifer's POV I was walking to my apartment because it was just a five minutes walk down the road when I felt my phone vibrate in my hand bag. It was a text from my best friend Kyle to meet him at our favorite restaurant. I hurriedly hailed a cab and got in then I gave the driver the address as he drove me to the restaurant. When i got inside the restaurant, I saw Kyle sitting in our favorite spot in all his glory like a Greek God as his suit hugged him in the right places, his chiseled jawline and his face definition of perfection I wasn't done admiring him when he caught my gaze and he locked his eyes with mine when I quickly looked away with the fear of getting caught. Take a picture it will last longer, as he smiled a forced smile which did not reach his face. I smiled back. He kept staring at me like he was looking through my soul with all seriousness when I cleared my throat loud enough to get his full attention, he looked worried and stressed but the Kyle I knew never look worried. so that's when I figured that it was pretty serious for him to look stressed and worried I snapped my fingers in front of him to get his full attention then I asked him what was wrong. My dad gave me two options. to either get married in the next six months of which I have wasted five because I thought he was joking or lose the position of the CEO to my little brother. The next thing he said made my heart to stop beating, my breath hitched and everything around me stopped moving "Jane will u marry me"? His eyes were literally pleading for me not to say no. I was still shocked, it's everything I ever have wanted, hearing him say it just made me have hope that maybe just maybe my love for him can happen. It will be a contract. marry me just for a year then when I get the company then we can get a divorce, please Jane u are my only hope. my father won't believe me if I bring another person u know how he really likes u. Hearing this really broke my heart, I thought maybe just maybe I could get something out of this. I was just being selfish this was my best friend Kyle and the man I have loved since I was fourteen. I could surely do this for him it was nothing compared to everything he has done for me. That's when the waiter arrived to take our order, she went straight to Kyle ignoring me and batting her eyelashes at him as she pushed breast for the whole world to see, as she asked want he wanted to order. He did not even pass her a glance as he ordered our favorite for us. Bitch that serves u right as I smiled in my heart. Jane will you help me? he asked as he intertwined our fingers together looking me in the eyes with desperation on his face. You know that company really matters to me, I can't lose it to David. I looked at out interlocked hands and up at him again. The was some much hope in those blues eyes of his. oh, don't look at me like this! it's difficult. Don't!! "Okay, I will help you!" I cried hysterically banging my head on the table, scratching nails on the wall. He smiled and said I love you Jane you are my best friend. Before he stood up and hugged me. And I wished it was more than that, I wished Kyle will really love me with as a man will love a woman. God this man is going to be the death of me. When the hug ended. I had to make a contract with Kyle in other to be at a safe end and not get my heart broken Kyle we need a contract so we can stay our boundaries, When I said this Kyle looked at me smiling. Are you afraid you might fall for me? He asked as he winked at me. No!! "well, I already did fall for u" We just have to be safe first u know in case to avoid any mistake, I said nervously. If that's the problem then you don't have to worry, I'll set up a contract. But I won't touch u inappropriately your are like a little sister I never had. I have known u for twenty year and I have never touched you and it won't start now. I know Kyle i said as I masked my tear with a smile,"Ouch what he said stung a bit no it actually stung a lot".
