I felt the blood drain from my face once it had come to my realisation that it was an hour until the moon was full. It would reach its highest and would display the red blood moon. It wasn’t a normal full moon, it was the blood moon. The blood moon happens about twice a year and is the best time for us vampires to be in union with one another. The only night within the year that allowed vampires to officially mark each other.
Although witches and werewolves use the blood moon for their own reasons. I have only ever heard stories about the blood moon about any other types of moon events. Witches use it as an energy source for their magic. Again, I have heard stories but I don’t know if they're actually true. Werewolves... well I am unsure what the blood moon means to them, i
