01 | Have You Ever
- Lucia -
Have you ever met someone and wondered how different your life would be if you hadn’t?
Have you ever met someone for the first time but in your heart and soul you feel like they’ve always been there?
Have you ever had a person effect your life like this?
Well I have and his name was Enzo Falco, aged 24 and Captain of the Golden eye firm, devil in disguise and the ruthlessness of a mature mafia boss. Heart of frosty cold steel, but looks to make you weak in the knees. He was rough, ready and extremely dangerous.
He was my ‘someone’

I was woken up to the sound of my phone ringing, having no energy left in my body from partying too much last night, I slammed my hand on my night table grabbing it but having to close one eye with the light being so bright, the called ID was my dad. I knew I'd have to answer it or I’d get an earful and I am not in any shape or form to handle that today.
“Hey poppa dearest, what can I do you for?” I answered trying to sound as normal as possible but with a slightly sarcastic tone in my voice.
“I know you were out partying again last night! Dino saw you!” He snapped. “How many times have I told you?! Don’t answer that! Millions, I’ve told you millions of times! Do you know how much danger surrounds you with how our life style is?! Do you want to be held hostage or worse, die?! Don’t answer that, because NO, no you don’t! I am sick of telling you over and over and over again! Why do you feel the constant need to party all the time?!” He continued with his rant.
I'm too hungover to be dealing with this s**t today, I thought to myself while already rolling my eyes.
“Dad, I’m sorry okay? But nothing is going to happen to me.” I explained in a soft tone hoping to butter him up. “I can look after myself yes? I learned from the best, remember?"
“Flattery won’t work this time, Missy. Get your ass to my office. I’m putting you to work, at least then I'll know where you are and what your doing.” He sternly told me, hanging up the phone before I could even reply.
That was the last thing I wanted to hear, it was clear I was in no position to be working today.
To be honest, I don't exactly know why my dad was on my case in the first place. I’m a good girl who's studying medicine at the best university in New York City, my grades are excellent, I've never been arrested, and there’s no boys in the picture to make him worry. Yeah, I might have a bit of a partying problem, but it’s only a problem if you can’t control it, right?
Ever since my mother died when I was 10 he’s grown to be more and more over protective of me. Him being the boss of the infamous Black Stallions organised crime firm, ‘mafia’ if you will, didn't help. I got that he had to pull a tight ship, but I’m his daughter, surely he could loosen the reigns a little for me, no? No. I already knew that though.
After a nice hot shower, a rush to get ready and jumping in my car, I made my way to my dads office. Ready for his lectures or not.

I was sat in my warehouse adjusting my jacket when Don, Dave and Carlo entered capturing my attention.
“What’s up boss man.” My younger brother, Dave said in a cheery, slightly sarcastic tone.
“Dave, shut the f**k up.” Shrugs Carlo. He was my right hand man, best friend and main trusted associate.
I was in no mood to be dealing with his idiocity today, I just want to get this job over and done with. I’m not one to have nerves but this wasn’t a normal job. This was one I had been planning for sometime now.
“Right, listen up! We’re hitting New York’s Bank of America, I want everyone to be on their game, no f**k ups, or I promise I'll end your fuckin lives." I warned them.
“What we looking for?” Shrugged Don. He was my left hand man, always ready for some kind of trouble.
“Vault 566. Everything. No looking, just grab what’s there and leave.”
“What’s in vault 566?” Dave asked blankly.
“None of your business.” I raised my voice at him “And if you dare even look, don’t think because your family I’ll hesitate putting a bullet between your eyes."
“Geez. Relax, bro I was just curious, no need to be so touchy.” He holds his hand up in surrender.
I just roll my eyes, turn on my heel and head towards the vans passenger side door. Carlo can be the driver today.

Entering my dads office with a little knock, I walked in on my father was sat behind his desk on the phone just about to hang up on who ever the pool soul was because, man, he didn’t look happy.
“Looking good, Poppa.” I smile with a cheeky wink.
“Violet, good, you’re here.” He gave me a tight smile whilst smashing his big, chunky finger on the hang up button.
‘Violet’ - the colour of my eyes. I have no idea how I ended up with these but I hated them.
I used to wear contacts until I fell asleep with one still my eye, let’s just say it was a nightmare and I’ll never be doing that again, so I’m stuck with them I guess.
“What you got for me?” I smiled with a little shrug.
“I need you to take this envelope to the bank and deposit it into this bank account.” He said whilst passing me a big brown envelope and a small white piece of paper with bank details scribbled on it.
“That’s it? Deposit this and I’m done?” I asked while looking down at the envelop that was placed in between my two fingers.
“Yeah. You want more?” He said, raising an eyebrow at me.
“No, no, just making sure I was clear.”
“Off you go then, dear. I’ll call you in an hour to check up on you.”
“Like I can't manage putting money into a bank, what do you take me for?” I rolled my eyes at his pretensiousness.
“What have I told you? You’re too pretty to be rolling your god damn eyes, Violet!” He almost yelled pointing at me.
I let out a sigh and wave him off before exiting his office.
