The Mysterious Rouge Wolf's Necklace

1614 Words
Thanks to the Hungry Fang's emergency wealth. They still have at least the resources to bounce back. Now that the werewolf world is dominated by The Growlers, Salvatore's pack, and his allied packs, especially, the Gamma wolf's laboratory, Andrea knows it's difficult to combat them all without means. These enemies of hers have now dominated even the corporate worlds, and soon she expects they're gonna penetrated human affairs. She has a hint that Magnus' lab and that Moon Pharma was their domination machine. She needs to at least to equal them in wealth and influence, stop them, and uncover the truth as well. Last two days Andrea and her pack were busy establishing their pack again. So, basically, the plan first is to hide the identity of the survivors of their pack. Now, they're posing as the rouge wolves coming together as a group. Thanks to Habokam because of that rare moon weed, now they can go out without being identified. Andrea spend her next days searching for it in the mountains. She waited for its flower to turn blue under the full moon before she picked it. And then, the pack doctor manufactured the Habokam into a liquid they could drink to alter their scents and hide their fangs for some time. In that way, they roam around and live their lives without being suspected that they were survivors of the Hungry Fangs. That's the reason why Andrea and her pack now smell like rouge wolves. And because of that, they pretended that they are rouges. " But they have to forget there must be survivors of our pack, or else, knowing Salvatore, they'll continue searching for us," Gonzalo said. Andrea nodded. He's right. They want their fangs. And as long as they know that some of the wolves who have these fangs are alive they'll feel threatened, and so they will continue to hunt. What they need to feel now is assurance. " One of us must go back to the graves of our ancestors," Andrea said. " Why?" " We need to give them their remains instead of ours, so they'll stop looking for us," " Isn't that disrespectful?" one of the pack members argued. " But our pack must continue living or else we'll be lying in the graves with them...our ancestors don't want that," Andrea insisted. And so in the next days, along with the establishment of the Hungry Fangs company, the remains of their ancestors were placed near the borders where their pack had its last battle. Andrea knows that anytime soon, it will be discovered. And she was not mistaken. Here is Salvatore now on TV announcing to the werewolves that there's nothing to fear anymore as the threat to their existence was now found dried bones in the border valley and that the bones will be kept safe in The Solace. " The Solace," Andrea whispered with gritted teeth. She's eager to see what kind of laboratory the Gamma wolf has. " Alpha," one of her Delta knocked on the door. " Come in," Andrea said smiling. " This is the latest information I got," said the Delta, handing pictures to her. Andrea's brow crossed as she looked at the pictures. On it were Blaine and Magnus. " What is Blaine doing here?" she asked. " And the Gamma?" " We all know that the entire werewolves specie believes whatever the Gamma would say," It was Gonzalo. He walked into the room and interrupted the conversation. " Yeah, I know that," Andrea nodded. Of course, she knows that it was Magnus's words that pinned them, blaming their fangs as the cause of the female wolves' infertility. Being the shaman had given her many credentials to be believable. " In this new world of ours, Magnus has become like the god. The entire werewolves worship him for being their hero. They say they owe the continuity of the werewolves race to him," Gonzalo added. " He's one difficult wall to crumble," Andrea rose from her seat and smiled confidently at them. " Let's see," she muttered. Then she turned to the Delta beside her " Delta Verlice, can you clear the way for me?" Delta Verlice was the highest Delta in position. She admired Andrea much. For her, the Alpha of their pack was an inspiration to female wolves like her. In the other packs, women are treated lowly. They rarely got the chance to be in position, and they have to toil blood to become even a Delta, so most of the female wolves dreamed to become a Luna, and that could happen once they were mated to an Alpha male. Verlice was adopted by the Hungry Fangs pack. Being with this pack gives her freedom. Unlike the other female in the other pack, she need not struggle to want to be the Luna, because here in the Hungry Fangs, everyone is treated fairly, and all positions can be assumed with dignity by both genders. She saw Andrea as the crazy lovestruck Alpha who thought nothing but her beloved beta, but she saw her concern that night when their pack was slaughtered. Their Alpha may be crazy in love but she's the kind of Alpha who would defend the pack until death. And so for that, Verlice swears she'll gonna do everything she can to help their pack to return to its former glory. I don't want to be in another pack. I would just be like other females there, wanting to get pregnant so they could get hold of the Alpha males who were rejecting the bonds. Verlice told herself. She put on her black glasses, fix her skirt, and hold tighten at her microphone. Today, the Gamma wolf Magnus has his presscon. Andrea can't show herself, for now, so she needs to do this job. She was here posing as a reporter. The cameraman that is with her was also their pack member in disguise. " ready?" "Let's go," The presscon was held in a spacious hall. There were loud blabbering and cameras flashing when Verlice enters. Magnus was there sitting at a long table with her men standing behind him. " Just asked him a question that is not related to that presscon, cast doubts among the people," Verlice recalls what Andrea had tasked her to do. Magnus organized a presscon for Moon Pharma's publicity because they're about to release a new pill soon. Magnus was enjoying the crowd. Then all of a sudden Verlice asked him a question. The entire crown fell into silence. The annoyance and surprise were clear on Magnus' face. " Regarding the remains you claimed were of The Hungry Fangs, how sure are you that it was theirs?" Verlice asked. Magnus was stunned. Verlice continued not waiting for Magnus to regain his composure. " What process can The Solace assure us, to the entire specie that the remains are real and safe and won't harm us?" Magnus answered her trying his all to remain calm. Verlice smiled and asked another question again. " Being the shaman wolf, you have a responsibility to the entire werewolves community, so can we expect transparency from you? Can you make the safe keeping of the remains open to the public?" Magnus didn't reply. He was just glaring at Verlice. But then the other reporters agreed with her. They all hurried to ask questions related to what Verlice had said. Good job, Verlice. Andrea whispered in her thoughts, smirking as she turned off the TV. Now, it's my turn to roll the dice. She thinks. " f***sh**!" Magnus throws the vase he got a grip on. " Damn those reporters! How can I make the safekeeping public when the laboratory was all for business? I am not prepared for that! If I let those cameras get into my lab, they'll eventually learn that we're making fortunes out of Andrea's DNA and of her pack's fangs!" Magnus ranted. " But have you really...tested those remains are they really of the Hungry Fangs," Salvatore asked. Magnus took a deep breath calming himself. " of course," he replied. " large...same shape and components...I'm sure they were," Salvatore patted him on the back. " Okay, at least now we're sure of our hold on the world...no need to freak out," he said. " Actually, you can give what the public is asking without showing your lab!" Salvatore exclaimed. " How?" " Why not hire a third party to do that?" " Third-party?" " Yeah, relax the public just wants assurance from you," It was as if a coincidence or the whole universe conspire in the Hungry Fang's favor. The next few days, there has been an announcement that the CEO of Moon Pharma is looking for the rouge wolf who intruded on his house and that he was gonna hire her as his personal assistant. Along with that, they hear the news too, that The Solace, Magnus laboratory is looking for a security company that would do the job of securing the Hungry Fangs' remains. Boom! I shuffled the cards and you all fall on it! Andrea thinks flashing a satisfying smirk on her face. Now, it's time for the Alpha Queen to make a move! Meanwhile Blaine's gaze was fixed on the ice-frost pendant necklace in his grip. Ever since he got a touch of this thing he's been disturbed by these weird feelings he can't even identify. Where is this coming from? Am I longing for something? Is there something I'm missing? This necklace... what magic does this have that I felt...weird? That mysterious rouge wolf... she's to blame for this! Blaine thought to himself.
