Why does my soul mate have to be a vampire

Gabriella POV: "Oh my god I'm late for my doctor's appointment" !!!!! This can't be good. I rushed out of my house and ran down the block. "Why am I such a freaking i***t?" damn you alarm clock! I was so busy berating myself that I wasn't watching where I was going. If I I had been watching where I was walking I would not have run into another body! Bam!!! I slammed right into another person, knocking us both down, which caused him to land on top of me. "Ooh dear lord, I am so sorry it's just I was in a rush and I am so sorry". I hadn't even looked up to notice him staring at me. "It's okay. I'm pretty sure it was very important". I laughed while looking up at him. Noticing for the first time his light green eyes had a hint of orange in them.   Ooh god he is so beautiful, I thought to myself. Gosh that cute smile he gave me, with his pink lips that looked oh so soft, his hair was long too and pulled back into a low ponytail. He had the whittest teeth I had ever seen. I thought to myself again. Snap out of it, Catherine. Thank you, I said. He extended his hand out to help me up off the ground, reaching for his hand, when suddenly I felt a shock shoot from where our hands met all the way up my arm. Snapping my eyes up to meet his green ones. It was so weird. I felt like time stopped, and it was just us standing in the middle of 42nd street. Butterflies erupted in my tummy, and this tingling feeling settled in the pit of my stomach. I could not explain the immediate attraction I felt towards him. As I continued to look into his eyes, I noticed his green eyes were getting darker and darker, turning almost black. So I snatched my hand away quickly. Um thank you, I stuttered. With a flash he just walked away just like that, he was gone without even saying bye. What the hell was that, i thought to myself. Why did i react that way? I'm such a socially awkward person. Looking down at my watch "Oh god I'm late i thought as i jogged the rest of the way to the doctors office. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------                                              Taylor's pov: I was walking down the street mesmerized by everything. This was my first time in the human world and it looked amazing. Just as i was gawking at the big flat screen that was hanging on the side of a building on umm, what's this street called again, ooh 42nd street something or someone ran into me causing me to fall. I landed on this woman. She smelt so good. Then she started speaking really fast, apologising to me. I smiled at her and told her "it's fine. I'm sure she had somewhere important to be". I got up off the floor and noticed she was zoning out. So I cleared my throat to get her attention, but she just kept watching me. So I extended my hand down to help her up. She finally took my gesture and took my hand into hers, and just as our hands connected, i felt as if the world and everyone around us disappeared and a shiver ran down my spine. I was engulfed by this feeling and need to protect her. I lusted after her, I wanted her. I felt the urge to bite her and drain her of all her blood.. Then I noticed how beautiful she is and how her light grey eyes seemed to shine with happiness. How her long red hair touched her lower back and that smelled like nothing I'd ever scented before. Before I knew what I was doing, my feet started moving on their own. Taking me far away from her. I felt like I to get away from her. But as I walked away from her I felt pain. I felt a deep longing for my clumsy grey-eyed stranger. I needed to eat. I was hungry. I didn't quite understand why. I just fed before stepping out of the house today.
