Alex "Let me out please! Somebody help me!". I kept banging on the door in the dark and shouting for help. " No please", I screamed and sat up on my bed. I looked around and sighed in relief that it was all a dream. I felt myself sweating profusely as my shirt clung to my body all wet. Panting, I buried my face in my palms feeling tired. I am scared to fall asleep due to these recurring nightmares. As I looked around again, I realized that my room was completely dark. I furrowed my eyebrows as I got down from bed to turn on the mild blue lights which I always keep switched on due to my Nyctophobia. I developed this phobia ever since I was little. I couldn't go back to sleep anymore. I looked at the clock and groaned. It was four in the morning. I went back to my bed and laid down. Staring at the white ceiling, I thought about my nightmares again. It's always the same one, me getting trapped inside a dark room and am unable to breathe. I sighed and closed my eyes trying to relax. It was of no use. I sat up again and reached for my laptop on the bedside table. Since sleep was out of the picture right now, I better get to work, I thought to myself.  Third Person's P.O.V Alex Watts was one of the most successful businessman of the country. He had everything a person can ever want. Whatever he desired was delivered to him in the blink of an eye. But he never took anything for granted. He wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth and only relishing the legacy passed onto him like a brat. In fact, he was born in a middle-class family and had to live in difficult conditions all through his childhood and teenage. But he worked hard, day in and day out, he improved his skills through training and dedication and achieved everything he has today. But even after achieving everything a man can ever dream of, Alex Watts did not have peace of mind. A very important piece of his life was missing...Julianna. Alex As I was working on my laptop, I looked outside the window. " Where are you Julianna?" I asked myself. There isn't a single day when I didn't think of her. I looked back at my laptop screen and realized that it's already 6.30. I got down from the bed and walked towards the bathroom. As soon as I stepped in my chest felt heavy and my heart started beating fast. With trembling hands, I quickly turned the lights on and my nerves relaxed. I stepped into the hot shower and leaned on the shower wall. Closing my eyes I let the warm water wash away all my fatigue. Falling asleep at night has become really difficult nowadays due to the work load and recurring nightmares resulting in massive fatigue.  After sometime as I stepped out of the bathroom, I saw my breakfast was already in my room as always, with a copy of newspaper. Just as I like. I picked up the newspaper and scanned through the pages. Robberies, murder, accidents, politics, celebrity and their affairs, top athlete defeated...I read them all. There were always some news about me too...story of an underdog, groundbreaking success etc. As I found an article about me, I smirked. Just as I expected it was full of details of my success and my latest interview. As I going through it, my phone rang. Tossing the newspaper aside I looked at my phone and saw it was Declan, my business partner and friend. I answered the phone, "hello?" " We have a problem", Declan said. Apparently he was in no mood for formalities. "good morning to you too and what are you talking about?" I said. " It is about our new asshole of a partner or should I say was?" Declan replied. " What's wrong? Did he have a change of heart?", I asked him. "Someone slapped him, inside your office building", Declan replied calmly. I let out a laugh and said, " Well he should've seen that coming given his character but why did he cancel the contract? And why wasn't I notified of this sooner?" I asked Declan again. " Dude, you tend to wake up late and I found out about it now. I just walked into the office. This did not happen in front of me. Sad I missed the show but now we are on the verge of losing a huge investor", Declan said impatiently. "Whoever is behind this incident, is gonna pay. I cannot lose him", I said getting angry. "Just calm down Alex and come to the office immediately. I'm going to find out the person who slapped him", Declan reasoned. I disconnected the call and threw the phone on the bed. I couldn't even finish my breakfast and got up to change. I quickly changed into my suit. I wasn't really a fan of this new partner who got slapped but he had a lot of money which turned out to be good for me.  As I got into my car, I thought of the person who slapped my new partner and got a bit angry. I looked outside the window and said to myself, " I'll get my worth from you. You owe me". The driver looked at me through the rearview mirror and asked, " Pardon sir?" "It's nothing, drive faster please", I told him. "Yes Sir", the man replied and drove faster. Third Person P.O.V. Julianna was pacing back and forth inside her home anxiously. Today was her first day of job in one of the big and reputed companies and she didn't want to screw up. She was a poor girl who lived by herself in a cheap condo. Though once she belonged to a moderately rich family, things went downhill after her father passed away in a tragic accident which also left her mother in a coma. To keep her mother alive, she had to deposit a huge amount of money to the hospital every month resulting in their financial condition to deteriorate. Even though her family business was once big, it was nothing considered to where she was going to work. And that's all she cared about. Julianna never dwelled on the past. She always looked to the future. A brave girl raised right. Julianna I took a deep breath and checked everything required once again. My files, name tag which I kept looking at every now and then happily, my outfit. " Everything is going to be perfect", I told myself looking at my reflection on the mirror. As I got out of my house I saw a cab waiting. I ran towards it and got in. "Watts Building, please and can you hurry a bit sir?" , I told the driver. He nodded and drove off. Inside the cab I kept nervously checking my navy blue pantsuit for any crease. The driver looked at me through the rearview mirror and asked smiling, " First day?". I looked up and smiled. " Yes", I replied. The driver nodded. Upon reaching my destination, the driver stopped the car and turned to me. " Good luck, you're gonna do great", he said smiling. I smiled back, thanked him and got out of the car. As I walked inside the building, my jaw dropped, it is the most beautiful lobby I have ever seen. I walked towards the id card punching machine and got in. The coffee vending machine was just beside the reception. I went towards it looking around and got myself a coffee. Holding the cup in one hand and my bag in the other I walked carefully towards the elevator and pushed the button. The door opened and there was a well dressed man, attractive man in the elevator. I moved forward to step inside and then...it all happened so fast...FUCK MY LIFE!!!!!!! Maybe it was the flooring or my shoe went through the elevator gap, the next thing I knew was I went face first inside the elevator and my coffee spilled and I was sprawled across the elevator floor. "What the f**k? Are you kidding me?", the man shouted and I looked up. My stomach twisted into a knot, "oh s**t!", I mumbled to myself. Hastily I got up and looked at the man whose suit was badly stained by my coffee. "I am so sorry! It was an accident I swear, I'll help you clean it", I panicked and tried to clean his suit. "Don't you f*****g touch me!", he shouted again, swatting my hands harshly before I could touch him. I got a little annoyed by his behavior and said, " Please behave yourself. I said it was an accident and I am genuinely sorry. I didn't mean it to happen". People started to gather around  the scene. It was quite obvious to me that this dude had a fragile ego and was revolted by me. "The f**k did you just say to me? Did you tell me to behave myself? Who the f**k do you think you are to speak to me like that?", the man shouted in anger and got closer to me. I stepped back feeling cornered in the tiny elevator space. "Do you even know who I am? It's best you behave yourself and know your place", the man went on. I was completely offended by the way he spoke to me but I had to keep calm. It was my first day, and I didn't want any of this. "Sir, if you can't respect others, then you shouldn't expect anyone to respect you", I said calmly. HOLY s**t!!!!  The man suddenly snatched my id from me and shouted, " Shut your f*****g mouth! I can buy your whole existence with the snap of my fingers". He looked at the id and laughed, " this is where you come from? You're a peasant! How did someone like you manage to set foot inside this building and have the audacity to disrespect me?" . I stared at him with teary eyes. He came closer and smirked," how many people did you spread your legs for to get here?" That's it, without thinking twice I stepped up to him and slapped him across the face. I felt like dying. I couldn't believe my luck. And to think this was only the first day and it looked like would be the last. People around us gasped as the man looked at me in rage. "You are dead!", he said lowly and stomped off. I did not budge but exhaled out a breath I was holding. "What are you all looking at? Get to work", I heard someone speaking loudly behind me. The guy came in front of me, picked up my id card and handed it over to me. "That was a good slap, he deserved it", he said smiling at me. " I'm Jake by the way", I shook his hand and said, "Julianna". "I know. he announced it. The slap was indeed a bold move Julianna", Jake said. "Bold enough to get me fired", I said lowly. "Maybe, maybe not. Don't think about it too much for now. And honestly that guy was an asshole and as I said before he got what he deserved", Jake said. " Do you think I'm gonna get fired Jake?", I nervously asked him as we got into the elevator. He turned towards me sighing and said, "It's up to the boss. He will decide who stays and who leaves. I think we should get to work before he arrives." I sighed as I reached my floor. As the door opened she noticed that everybody is busy doing their work. "So no one here saw what happened", I said to myself and relaxed a bit. "Where's your desk Julianna? Just check the number on your id" , Jake asked . I read it out aloud. "Oh, that's right beside me. C'mon!" Jake said excitedly. Both of us took our seats and I tried to enjoy it while it lasted. Jake was friendly and kind and I felt at ease beside him. " By the way Jake, do you know who that man was?", I asked suddenly. " That was Hudson Wolf, boss's new business partner", Jake replied while typing something on his computer. I choked on my saliva. "I'm screwed...really bad", I said to myself. Jake looked at me once and then got back to his work. Alex "What did I miss?" I asked Declan as soon as I walked into my office where he was already seated. " Quite a show. I can't stop replaying this gem of a video", he said. " What the hell are you watching? Porn?, I joked as I sat on my chair. " It's not porn, you d**k. It's your investor Hudson Wolf getting slapped in front of everyone. This girl has some balls", Declan said as he smirked. "What girl?", I asked as I switched on my laptop. " The girl who slapped Hudson. I found out everything about her. She is our new employee, needy family, father died in car accident and her mom is in coma. She lives in a cheap condo nearby", Declan replied looking at his phone screen. " Looks like she really needs this job", I said smirking. " She sure does and that's what you are gonna take away from her, aren't you?, Declan asked looking at me. I just typed on my laptop and smirked. Declan sighed and said dramatically, "I'll just send poor but brave little Julianna a notice telling her she's fired on her first day". My heart skipped a beat when I heard him say the name. I slowly looked at him and asked, "What did you say?". Declan raised in eyebrows in confusion and said, "That I'll send her a notice?"  "No...what did you say her name was again?" I asked impatiently. Declan was puzzled at my behavior but replied, " Her name is Julianna, Julianna Peterson". That was all I needed to hear. I immediately played the CCTV footage of the elevator. There she was, The Julianna Peterson. I couldn't believe my eyes. "What are you doing Alex?", Declan asked confused. An evil grin spread across my face. "I'm not going to fire her. In fact, I'm going to promote her, give her a new apartment and pay for her mom's hospital bills", I said looking at the footage. "Woah, Woah, Woah...hold up man! Are you in love with her or something?", Declan joked. My eyes were glued to the screen as I watched her. "The opposite actually...I HATE HER", I said and smirked. "You've finally lost it dude", Declan shook his head in confusion. I leaned back on my chair and closed my eyes... I've found you Julianna and now I'm gonna destroy you. Welcome to my world!
