STELLA
If there was anything I did not prepare for, it had to be this; walking out of Tristan's suite, hand in hand and wearing a dress he ordered from one of the designer stores on the cruise.
I was nervous. Only slightly. What if things didn't go well? What if Corey didn't get jealous? It would hurt more than having to see him cheat on me.
A squeeze on my waist pulled me out of my thoughts, and I found myself looking up at Tristan, who looked like he had stepped out of a magazine.
I still couldn't believe I slept with the famous Tristan Dane and was walking side by side with his arms wrapped around my waist. Talk about a fan girl's dream coming true.
Well, I wasn't a fangirl, but I couldn't deny that this man was far beyond attractive and had the aura of a man who knew how to make me feel like a woman.
"Stop thinking too much," He leaned towards me, the tip of his nose grazing mine. "I know you really want to make him jealous. Maybe you doubt he will be, but I'll take care of it."
"You sound so confident." I looked into his eyes and immediately looked away. I couldn't stand the intensity.
"Of course. I am Tristan Dane," He shrugged cockily. "Nearly everyone on this ship knows who I am. I bet your ex-boyfriend does, too. So chin up. The moment people see you with me, they'll start talking."
As we stepped out of his suite and made our way towards the restaurant area, every eye turned on us. From young ladies who couldn't stop whispering to each other to older men who seemed to be his fans, cheering at him, to even older ladies who couldn't stop staring at him in wonder.
Tristan used that as an opportunity to tighten his hold around me. Pulling me to his side, he pressed a kiss on my temple, sending shudders down my body.
"See how they are staring? See how they worship me?" He whispered. "They'll do the same for you."
I gulped, my eyes searching around for just one person, Corey. The thought of finding him here sent shivers down my spine. Not only was I worried, but I was nervous.
Tristan led us to an empty table as he smiled and waved at his fans, who were now flocked around, taking pictures of him.
Pulling out a seat, he guided me into it, and just as I was about to sit down, I heard a familiar voice.
"Stella?"
My heart skipped a few beats. I recognised that voice, and I hated that it still sent a terrible squeeze in my chest. I slowly turned, and there he was, looking dishevelled.
He probably just finished f*****g that w***e from last night.
Oh, goodness. I hated him.
He made his way over to me, stumbling from side to side. I could tell he was drunk. Who got drunk at such an hour of the morning?
Did he already regret what he did? I really hoped that he did.
"Where the f**k have you been?!" He asked, paying no attention to Tristan who stood beside me. "I spent the whole of last night looking for you."
"Maybe you didn't look well?" I asked, folding one hand over the other. "Why are you even looking for me in the first place?"
He sighed. "To apologize for what I did last night."
I scoffed and looked up at the ceiling. "To apologize for what you did last night, huh? What's that going to change? Is it going to unfuck the woman from last night?!" I yelled.
By now, people were looking. I caught a few cameras peeking from underneath tables, and honestly, I didn't care. I wasn't the one getting humiliated for cheating.
He gulped. "Quit yelling, will you? I said I am sorry. I made a stupid mistake. I shouldn't have done what I did. Forgive me, please?"
"I can't do that," I shrugged. "Last night, what you did was a slap in the face. I planned this whole trip, and if you could cheat on me after what I did, maybe you don't deserve me. You're nothing but a piece of s**t!"
Corey rolled his eyes. "Your loss. You know that. No one will love you the way I do. You're going to remain the miserable workaholic that you are."
"You're so wrong," Tristan finally stepped in, and for the first time, Corey set eyes on him.
It was such a quick recognition. Corey went from being confused as to why Tristan Dane was standing beside me to shock.
"Tristan Dane?!" He gasped. "Is that you? f**k, it's you! I heard rumours about you getting onboard, but I didn't know it was true!"
Tristan scoffed and leaned towards me. "Is he always this stupid, or is it a once in a year kind of situation?"
I snorted before I could even think. "It's an everyday thing."
"Why... are you standing beside my girlfriend?" Corey asked, then laughed. "She's probably a fan like I am, too."
Tristan laughed again. "Ex-girlfriend, if I remember. She's my girlfriend now."
"What?" Corey burst into laughter and looked at me. "Oh, c'mon Stella. Don't tell me you pushed yourself to him. Because it's something you enjoy doing."
My cheeks flushed in embarrassment, and before I could say anything in reply, Tristan stepped in for me again.
"I actually saw her and couldn't take my eyes off her," Then he turned to me. "We met six months ago, didn't we?"
What was he doing? Well, who cared, so long as it was a lie. "Yes, we did. Our company was in charge of your event planning."
"I was blessed the day I signed those papers for your company to host my events. I wouldn't have met you," He brushed his thumb over my lips, and shivers ran down my spine. "I guess I am a lucky man."
"Stella?" Corey called. I bet he was feeling stupid right now, and oh, did it feel good to see him this way. "You met him six months ago? Why didn't I know this?"
I turned to him, a wicked grin on my face, and one arm folded over the other. Now was my chance to make him feel really stupid.
"The same way you hid your affair from me is the same way I did," I cackled. "Oh, did you think you were the only one having s****l escapades outside? Why did you think I got so busy all of a sudden? I would return late and make you believe I was working. Meanwhile, I was having the best time with Tristan. He took me to the best restaurants and made me c*m several times. Something you've never done once in our relationship. Why will I spoil such a good time by telling you about it?"
The gasps around were loud enough. I could hear women cheering me on. Tristan winked at me and pulled me in for a kiss.
"You were cheating on me the whole time?!" He screamed, his voice echoing around the room.
"A quid pro quo kind of situation," I shrugged. "Feels nice, doesn't it?"
"You b***h!" He yelled and advanced at me, but he was blocked by Tristan's imposing frame.
"Take another step closer to her, and I'll break your skinny frame into two."
Corey, knowing what Tristan was capable of doing as he was a fan and had seen him push the hunkiest of men into injury, took a step back.
He was humiliated. Damn near almost shedding tears, and when he stalked away, my shoulders heaved in relief.
"Oh, s**t. That worked."
"Why don't we make a toast to the wonderful debut of our fake relationship?”
