“Enough.” The voice cut through the air like a blade. Everything stopped. The footsteps behind me halted instantly. Relief hit me so suddenly it almost made my knees give out. Kael. I turned, my breath uneven, my vision slightly blurred from exhaustion. He stood a few feet away, his expression unreadable. But his presence— It was overwhelming. Dangerous. The two wolves behind me stepped back immediately. “Alpha—” “I said enough,” Kael repeated. His voice was low. Controlled. But it carried something terrifying beneath it. Something that made even me uneasy. “What do you think you’re doing?” he asked. No one answered. No one dared to. His gaze shifted to them slowly. “Did I not make myself clear?” he continued. Still no response. The silence felt heavier with every passing second. Then— He moved. Fast. Too fast to follow. One moment he was standing still. The next— He was right in front of them. The impact of his strike echoed through the space. The wolf barely had time to react before being thrown back. The second one froze completely. Fear written all over his face. Kael didn’t stop. “Get out,” he said coldly. They didn’t argue. They ran. And just like that… It was over.
