HIS ANGER

226 Words
Everything happened fast. Too fast. One second, the space was filled with tension. The next— Kael moved. He grabbed the wolf who had pushed me, his grip tight, unforgiving. “Explain,” he said. His voice was low. Controlled. But it carried something dangerous beneath it. “I—it was an accident—” the wolf stammered. Kael didn’t look convinced. His eyes darkened as his grip tightened. “Does she look like someone you should be ‘accidentally’ touching?” he asked coldly. Silence. No one dared to speak. I slowly pushed myself up, my body still aching. “I’m fine,” I said quietly. But he didn’t look at me. His attention remained fixed on the wolf. “That wasn’t a request,” he said. The wolf swallowed hard. “I didn’t mean any harm, Alpha.” Kael let out a quiet breath. But it wasn’t calm. It was controlled anger. “Listen carefully,” he said, his voice dropping further. “If anything happens to her…” He didn’t finish. He didn’t need to. The threat was clear. Loud. Terrifying. He released the wolf suddenly, and the man stumbled back, fear written all over his face. “Get out of my sight.” The wolf didn’t hesitate. He left immediately. Silence filled the space again. Then slowly… Kael turned to me.
