For nearly a month, the skeletons terrorized the people of the moors in various frightening ways. From rattling bones to tapping on windows, banging on doors, damaging crops, trampling on gardens and setting livestock loose. Everyone was powerless against them, including the Constable and the Parson, no matter what they did.
