Stickley Manor Denzil's intention was to visit the ruins and see the place for himself. The place where it was reputed to have started. 'The scourge of the Stickles'. It turned out the place was truly a ruin. Tumbled down walls covered in ivy and overgrown beyond recognition. It was not a friendly place, and they were within a few yards of it. It made them feel uneasy, thickets and thorn bushes grew everywhere. It was terrifyingly bleak, to say the least. Twisted oaks with long reaching limbs grew out of the rocky ground in proximity to the old building. It appeared the place had not been lived in for hundreds of years.
