People made mistakes; I understood and accepted that. No one was perfect. Sooner or later, we all give in to impulse or emotion and allow it to drive us to make terrible decisions. It was part of being human and part of growing as a person. I myself had made many mistakes over the course of my life: growing up, in my personal life, with my friends and family, and in my career. Those mistakes caused ripples that still affected me to this day. That empathy allowed me to look past many mistakes that others had made and helped me to look forward rather than back.
