Rose POV
A ringing phone woke me up. I jerked my head up from my desk, a sheet of paper stuck to my face, which I pulled off. I had fallen asleep at my desk last night, not even managing to make it to my bed just on the other side of the room.
I glanced at my computer screen. I had a list of all the employees at the firm that was named Ben, or any variation of that name. The company turned out to have two Benjamins, two Bennetts, a Benedict and just one Ben, too. And those were just the people at CC Attorneys. The Ben that I was looking for may very well not be on this list at all.
My phone still ringing brought me out of my thoughts and forced me to take note of everything that was going on around me.
