Chapter 5 Eliza stood with the bowl in her hands, stunned to see that her guest was actually awake. ‘I didn't think he would wake up so soon.’ Eying him head to toe, she blinked as she noticed the leg splint she placed on him was gone. “Why are you out of bed so soon?!” She asked, rushing towards him, passing the table she absent-mindedly placed the meal on the table and marched to him. “You were really hurt and had a fractured bone, you shouldn’t be standing.” She advised, touching his chest as she did so. This caused shivers to run down Kael’s body as he came back from his apparent shock. ‘Why is my mate… a human?’ Kael asked, Gith. But his wolf had no answer to his question as the wolf was confused as he was. It was completely impossible for a wolf to be mated with a human. But there was no doubt in it as once Eliza touched him, the thrilling shiver he felt from her was there. That was only something you get from… a fated mate. ‘Fated mate?!’ Looking down at her, he noticed a worried expression as she analyzed his body. “Gith…” He thought, mind linking with his wolf. Gith hummed as he already knew what he was going to ask. ‘She is our fated one.’ Eliza snapped her fingers in front of him. “See! I knew you would still be stressed with your need to lay down. Look I am sorry, I hit you with my car, but for now I have a responsibility to take care of you till you are better” ‘Right the reason I collapsed was because I was hit by a vehicle, I see she was the one who hit me.’ He analyzed as he stared at her. She stared at him as she tapped her chin, “Which doesn’t look like it would be too far off. So till then, please bear with me Mr. Billionaire.” With that she turned Kael around, slightly pushing him back to the room. Forcing him down the bed, she turned to him and gave him a light smile, “I will go warm the meal, please wait a bit. I will be back.” Leaving the room, she shut the door lightly behind her, and she immediately held the closest wall to her as her face burned with embarrassment. “He was a lot handsomer than I thought he would be. Those bright green eyes that stared deeply to my soul. I guess I can finally understand why ladies fall for him. One look at him and why heart is already racing.” She shook her head, trying to shake the lustful feeling that crept her body. Eliza felt her body heat up just but touching him. She felt like something had lit within her just by touching him. Taking minutes to calm herself, she walked to the table and grabbed the Tupperware and headed for the kitchen. Opening up the Tupperware, Eliza saw that Carol had made Glazed Salmon with Wild Rice and Roasted Veggies. It was too much for even for her to eat, and she was not a fan of let overs. When she cooked, she cooked what she knew she would finish and not remain. “I am just glad that it is enough for two people.” She felt the temperature of the food and noticed that steam still came out from the food. ‘I guess it was just prepared.’ Dishing it out, she pulled out her foldable mini table and placed Kael’s breakfast in it ripping the water from her fridge, she placed it with the painkillers beside it and left to give it to him. Pushing the door open with her back, she entered, closing it with her legs. Kael watched her and said nothing. He watched as her brunette locks fell as she served him, it took everything in him not to run his hands behind her ears and tug it to the back of her ears. “Here you go. Please ensure you eat and once you are done take this, and I would change your bandage.” he said, standing and bowing at him before leaving him to his meal. “There is none.” Gith said shaking his head as his wolf brain couldn’t comprehend the fact that a human was his mate and not just any mate but his fated one. In the werewolf world, there were two types of mates. Mates and fated mates. Mates were choosing by the Selene, the oracle from the Moon goddess. But fated mates were chosen by the Luna goddess herself. It happens without warning and on really rare occasions. “I know it is not the same first class meal you eat, but I am sure it will be delicious as yours.” Kael blinked as he stared at her. Eliza stared at him and back at the plate. As if she could predict his eyes, she took the spoon and placed some food in her mouth. She opened her mouth showing him to ate it all, “See not poisoned. Though it doesn’t prove slow active poison but, Rest assured, it is not poison.” And for the first time Kael responded to her, “That was unnecessary.” Her eyes widened as she smiled, “Oh so you do talk?!” She asked, “I thought you wouldn’t talk to me because of my low status.” Eliza waved her hands at him. “You lowly status?” Kael repeated. Absently taking the spoon from the place she dished the food and feed it to him, “You know, with you being a billionaire, and I, being a lowly peasant under your shoes.” “I never said that.” He replied. As he continued eating the food she fed him, not saying anything about it. “Really? Oh! My I didn’t know.” She rolled her eyes with a tease. Seeing that he finished eating she stood up to leave. “Please lay back while I check on your wounds… Ok?” Rather than doing that Kael held her hands and pulled her to him. She landed roughly on his chest. Even though he was bandaged he barely felt the pain. “What are you?”
