Calvin Harris ft. Florence Welch- Sweet Nothing Godrick:      "You drugged my sister?" I asked Raven. She turned to me and smiled.      "I did. Just like I drugged you before your transition," she smirked.      "I think it was a good idea," Anna interjected. "Poppy isn't dangerous nor is it addictive. She needed the rest,"      "Alright, team meeting," Raven motioned us all to get out of my sister's room.      The two of them walked out giving me a moment with her. I can't believe she's real. I can't believe how amazing she turned out to be despite not knowing what or who she really is. She's so young and she's already been through so much. At her age, female vampires are incredibly pampered. Especially those that come from the original bloodlines. Female vampires are the protectors. It's their job to ensure the next generation's survival. We've inherited a hell, sister. I don't know if I want you to take on the role our parents set for you. Even without knowing, you've been doing a hell of a job keeping the hierarchy off my back. We've all been searching for you. The Lost Phantom Child.      "She's so young," Anna noted when I walked out into the living room. "They're going to rip her apart, Godrick,"      "No, she's not as docile as she seems," I dismissed her. She didn't like that."She said my dad was conditioning her while they were on the run. Giving her bits of information she's going to need now that she's old enough to understand what it's for. She has this thing already. The way she looks at me. How she's starting to react to the changes around her. I think my dad told her where we can find them,"      "You're kidding. The return of both Lockwood and Phantom houses. The wolves are not going to like that. Lockwood City will wage war on us," Raven shook her head. "Especially with their missing daughter. No one knows where she is,"      "They wouldn't be able to with four us here. Especially now that Anastasia is mated to the eldest Sterling heir. The bloodlines are rebuilding. If they attack now, they know she'll kill them all. The Lockwood wolves have their own problems right now. They don't care about us,"      "Elijah doesn't want anything to do with the bloodlines. It's why he chose to be a daywalker. To stop the feud between our houses. He's never questioned your orders, G. He'll follow them more diligently now that he's mated to your sister," Raven sat down. "This is all happening a little too fast for all of us. Especially for her. She's a baby. We've been trying to locate her for years and she's been right under our noses. This isn't how I thought we would find her,"      "I know," I admitted. "She's not going to take no for an answer,"      "If she's anything like you, she'll be open to suggestions," Anna offered. Raven and I laughed.      "Don't get me wrong, Anna. As my Makhai, you hold certain importance in my heart, but anyone else can go f**k themselves. I don't do suggestions and sure as f**k don't take orders from anyone. Anastasia is processing what was locked away in her head and her mortal life with the Bournes. She's cooperating with us for now, but she's going to start f*****g s**t up once she's transitioned. You have no idea what it is my father made her capable of,"      "Do you?" she asked.      "If it's anything like my conditioning, yeah. I know how far he's going to push her,"      I looked away from her. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I lifted it up to see it's a message from one of my feeders. I have been a little extra needy as of late. With Analyse coming around more often, my hunger for her is rising. I locked the screen and put it back in my pocket.      "I have to go,"      "One of your w****s?" she asked angrily.      "Yeah," I answered this time. I turned around to face her. "You don't get to tell me what I can and can't do, ever. You made your choice, Anna, and I wasn't it. This one is on you,"      "On me?" she bit out. "Fine. I'll take the blame for rejecting you. But it was you who chose to not do anything about it,"      "What?" I laughed. "I'm not going to chase you, Analyse. If that's what you want, find someone who will. I am your king. I've done my part to show you your place and you've refused to take it. You're not a little girl anymore, baby. We're not kids. I don't need this s**t. The more you insist on playing your games, the more I see how things really are,"      "What?" she shook her head. "What things?"      "You're not cut out for this," I shrugged. "These people need a leader. Someone willing to do right by them and you're not it, Anna. You're a soldier at best. We should go, Rae. I don't want to be here when your brothers arrive,"      Saying that is the hardest thing I've ever had to say to anyone that I care about. However, my sister is right. I can't be playing this game with her. If she wants me to stay away from her then I will. It'll be hard at first, but it's not going to be the first time we walk away from one another. I've tried my best to make her see that she belongs with me. No one else is going to love her the way I can, but I shouldn't push something that is one-sided. Love seems a little childish at the moment with everything else that's going on. I shouldn't have to question this as well.      "I'm really proud of you," Raven whispered. She opened the door to my apartment for me. "You've been kissing her ass from the moment you found her. That couldn't have been easy on you, G,"      "I can't think about that anymore, Rae. Anastasia needs me to be there for her and I can't be the brother she needs me to be if I'm going to run around playing Anna's lapdog,"      "I want to call her Amelia. I feel like calling her Anastasia is really hard mostly because we call Analyse Anna. So I'm sticking to Amelia,"      "Amelia," I agreed.      "Congratulations, dude. You are officially a big brother. Let me know if you need any pointers. I may not be the oldest, but I know a thing or two about little siblings,"      "Thanks. Rae. I don't know where I would be without you,"      "Me too. You might still be a freshman, freakazoid," she laughed. She placed a glass jar in my hand. "Good night. There's a lot of poppy in there. If you want some, but it's mostly for Amelia,"      I met Raven when we were both in the Academy back in England. She's the first Sterling to top the higher bloodlines in both academics and power. No female Sterling had ever done that before and she got a lot of crap for it. There were times when I would find her crying in remote places around the academy because someone tried to sabotage her projects. The worst came when she transitioned and all of her abilities, both mental and physical amplified. It was beautiful.      We've been friends since the first time we met. One of the older kids tried to hit her when she wouldn't hand over the answers to a test. I didn't defend her for anything other than to prove that I was the stronger being in the school. I didn't need her to tutor me. I often ended up helping her. She just reminded me so much of myself before my abilities began to manifest. No one wanted to be near me. They thought I'd never live up to my name and it worked out great for the two of us. She's the only real friend I have.      After a hot shower, I began to get ready for my night. With Amelia sleeping, I can go out and take what I need. She doesn't need to know what I'm doing and as long as she believes I'm safe, she'll stay put. At least, I think that's how it works. I opened the door to head out and found Analyse standing there with her hand up as if she were about to knock. We both stared at one another for a minute before we burst out laughing.      "Is everything okay?" I asked her.      "No," she answered.      "Is something wrong with Mila?" I didn't know I was working out nicknames for my sister. I like that one.      "She's fine," she shook her head.      "You want to come in?" I offered.      "Yeah," she pushed past me before I could move out of the way.      "Are you okay?" I asked again.      "I didn't want to be with you because it's clear that you and Rae belong together," she blurted. "Since I've met you. The two of you cling to one another like your life depends on it and I don't think I can fill her place. It honestly looks like a lot of f*****g work. I don't want to replace something that you clearly already have,"      "Rae isn't-"      "Don't. It's obvious you love her. To everyone. Everyone thinks she's your mate,"      "Rae is into chicks," I stopped her. She looked up at me, surprised. "Everyone knows that. She's been into women longer than I knew I was. That came out wrong," I shook my head. Why did I say? "I've never been attracted to men, just putting that out there. What I mean is that she's been into girls ever since we met. She's afraid of being mated to a man. She's my only friend. The only one that counts,"      "She hides that so well," she finally looked away.      "She hits on you constantly," I laughed. "Where is this coming from?"      "I have things to do too," she shrugged. "My family needs me as much as yours needs you and being with you right now, complicates things,"      "No, it doesn't," I stepped towards her. She usually steps back, but she didn't this time. "Right now, the only thing that will make sense is us. I know you have other obligations. Being with me doesn't change that, Anna. If anything, it might make things easier for you. I know you don't want that and I respect it, but it's just the way it is.      "I'm not asking you for a lot. I'm just asking for what belongs to me already. I want to give you what belongs to you. I know I'm a d**k and I know you think I'm going to try and change who you are. I'm not. I love who you are. You're f*****g insane and I wouldn't have it any other way. I just don't want to be running around guessing what it is you want from me.      "I have bigger things than you on my shoulders right now. I have to make sure that the last member of my family doesn't die on me. I have to try to convince her that her only duty isn't to ensure my survival. So, I'm letting you know. I'm done. If you want to be with me, I'm going to need a yes. If you don't. Stop wasting my time and go home,"      It's a tough decision and I know she's not going to choose me. I'm doing the exact same thing. I'm choosing my family over her. I can't afford not to. Amelia is all I have left and I want her to stay with me. I don't want to be alone anymore and I don't want her to feel like she's alone either. Solitude eats away at our souls, inch by inch. It hurts and it's not the kind of pain I want Amelia to endure if I can help it. So, I opened the door so she can go.      "Yes," she said after a while.      "What?" I asked turning to look at her. My body jolted awake. I can feel everything inside of me right now. Did I hear her right or am I hearing things?     "Yes, I want to be with you, Godrick. I need you. I was never with him. He hates me almost as much as he hates you. I honestly hate all of them," she admitted. "They're going to be pissed when they find out,"      "Why now?" I asked her. Why am I fighting this? She pushed her hands to her pockets.      "I thought I was going to die," she admitted. "Ebony took me by surprise and then there was only pain before I blacked out. All I could think about is that I never got to do anything I wanted. Everything I've ever done has been for my clan and for my family. There aren't very many who find their Makhai. Their literal other half and you've been standing here for a long time. I've done nothing but disappoint you,"      "I've never been disappointed when it concerns you. Even before I knew you were mine. You've exceeded the expectations of who you should be. Even if you were to walk out that door, I wouldn't be disappointed. You are who you are, Analyse,"      "Thank you," she nodded. She went over to the door and shut it.      "You don't-"      "Shut the f**k up and show me that anger you did when you told me to go f**k myself," she growled. I looked her over and laughed.      "Go get undressed. I'm starving," I demanded. Chills broke out along her arms and neck. Really? Mila is never going to let me live this one down.
