Tricia’s POV
My beautiful Andrea, she looks so calm and angelic. I wonder what had happened to her at her garden.
I know I may be over reacting but I just can’t help it. I am her mother and would want to protect her at all times. I should protect her at all times.
She was yet to wake, and from my observation, she doesn’t appear to be harmed in any way. She has always been able to defend and protect herself. In the actual sense, she had already began to defend and protect the entire pack even at her little age.
But this realisation does not put my mind at ease at all. I am a mother, her mother and should be the one doing all the protecting. I just can’t help it.
My mind went back and started to recollect all the amazing things my girl had done ever since she was born. But her father, my mate, the Alpha of Great Crest Pack, he had always been uneasy about the powers of Andrea, he always seem as if it only speaks of a greater evil, an evil which is yet to be manifested.
I wish I could get him to tell me whatever he knows. But all my attempt at that had been fruitless. In fact, that only seems to draw us further apart. The bond we share is almost non existent.
It was never like before when we were so close and inseparable, keeping nothing from each other and being the best couple to the envy of all others. Now, our bond keeps diminishing by each passing day. Remembering those moments made me smile faintly.
I had done all I could to draw us closer, but now I think it’s best I allow him be. I haven’t given up though, but some things are better left as they are and this is definitely one of them.
Andrea groaned, I thought she was about to wake. I touched her neck, and realized she is beginning to get warm.
“Andrea” I called her, but no reply. “Darling are you okay?”
she was still not responding.
My little girl is going to be okay. I can’t wait to see her on her feet once again running around and living her happy life.
The door opened, and from the scent I knew it was the Alpha and his Beta, Paige that just entered.
Paige has been a wonderful fellow all along. And the truth is, he is the only one that keeps me sane around here.
I looked up at them, Andrew looks very worried, as if Andrea was going to die. I think he is over reacting and I wonder why he always reacts this way at any little thing that has to do with Andrea.
“How is she doing Luna?” Paige asked.
“Hopefully, she would wake soon. Her temperature has come down to normal.”
Andrew rushed closer to the bed. He knelt down by the side of the bed and stared over at Andrea.
“She is just an innocent pretty little girl” He whispered to no one but himself.
“My Andrea, my princess.” He said.
“What happened to her?” I asked.
“Obviously the hot sun, it’s too hot out there for she to be all alone in her garden.” Andrew answered.
“She would be fine. No need to worry much my dear”. He said to me.
But his words sound as though he was actually trying to convince himself and assured himself that everything would be alright
“Yes she would be luna. She looks so calm. I think she suffered from exhaustion or maybe sunburn or dehydration.”
“Seems like that.” I replied.
Andrea groaned again, and this time she opened her eyes. She looked around the room and smiled at each of us.
ANDREW’S POV
Wow Andrea just opened her eyes, she is fine. I can’t contain my joy. She looked at me, and gave me that her angelic smile. A tear dropped from my eye as I smiled back at her.
She got up and sat on the bed. She stretches her arms and then she embraced her mother.
“I am fine now mummy” She said.
“What happened to you Andrea? What happened in the garden?” Tricia asked with concern written all over her face.
“She needs some rest Tricia my dear. Andrea, I am glad you are awake.” I quickly cut in.
Tricia looked at me, not appearing surprise anymore. She is obviously already used to me acting this way.
I looked at Paige hoping he would come up with something immediately. I can’t stand myself treating my luna this way.
Paige knowing just what I wanted, smiled at the luna, and went over to sit beside Andrea and he said,
“Andrea you are quite alright”
And he turned to my luna
“Please luna, we need to go check her now and you don’t need to worry yourself. She is fine”
Tricia’s face was expressionless. She knew there was no point arguing. She has resolved to remain quietly at the background where we, no not we but I specifically, has decided to put her. She stood up from the bed and said
“I am glad you are fine Andrea”
Paige drew Andrea up from the bed and quietly led her out of the room. I also walked quietly behind them and I avoided to look at the luna’s face.
We led Andrea into my study room. She needs to tell us whatever that happened at the garden. I only hope that she does.
I mind linked Paige to relay my fears of been able to get her to talk to him.
*Do you think she would tell us anything Paige?*
Andrea looked at the both us and said. “Daddy, I don’t know how, but I think I can hear you”
