Chapter 18: Colton

.....Allison POV......

After I had finished crying the last time I went to the kitchen and made breakfast. After a while Spencer joined me with a guilty look on his face. I raised a questioning eyebrow and he turned off the stove and led me to the back porch.

"Something happened with Adam last night, he brought Aylia over and they slept here." I was too shocked to say anything. There was a sudden pain in my chest, and I looked at Spencer who was clutching his chest. "Someone left the pack." I felt my eyes go wide and I ran into the house and found where Adam was sleeping on the second floor. I smelled his sadness as soon as I reached his room. I made my way in quickly and quietly shutting the door behind me. I crawled into bed with Adam and wrapped my arms around him holding him tight, his back against my belly. He spun around and hugged me back putting his head in my neck and sobbing into me. I held him until he fell asleep, I got up and kissed his temple. Without waking him I looked into his memories from last night and saw what happened. Before I left I brought his favorite memories of us to the front of his mind, so he actually got a little peace. I got up and left his room and went down to the living room to find Spencer and Aylia watching a random show on the TV. I went to the kitchen and saw Spencer had finished breakfast. I sat down and ate as much as I could before, heading to the living room and sitting next to Aylia. 

"Ally? Where is Adam? and Brayden?" 

"Brayden and Adam had a fight and broke up kiddo, Brayden left and went back to our old pack. Adam is upstairs sleeping." I said sadly.

"I thought they were happy." She said confused.

"So did I." I whispered while looking down at my hands. "Sometimes people act okay when they're not Aylia, Adam will do that."

"How do we help him?" Aylia asked me.

"We wait. Adam has always done things in his own time, so we let him." I said, Aylia nodded and Spencer stood up and walked over to me placing a kiss on my forehead. He pulled away and walked to our bedroom, I put on a show for Aylia and went to our bedroom and put on a pair of yoga pants and red t-shirt of Spencer's. I put my hair in a messy bun and threw on some converse while Spencer was in the shower. I grabbed my phone and texted Beth, telling her that I probably wouldn't be able to skype for the next few days. I went back out to the living room and saw Aylia laughing at the TV, i giggled and went into the kitchen looking for a snack, I found some pretzels and nearly had a foodgasm. 

"So f*****g good." I moaned as i ate one.

"Should I leave you two alone?" Spencer asked walking in the kitchen laughing.

"Uh yeah, it is rude to interrupt a pregnant woman in the middle of a foodgasm." I said like it was obvious. Spencer laughed doubling over and holding his waist. I rolled my eyes at him and took my pretzels to the living room. I set the pretzels on the coffee table next to my car keys, then I walked up to Adam's room. He was laying on the bed with his eyes open. I sat next to him and ran my hand through his hair and he closed his eyes.

"Aylia and I are going shopping, we both need clothes. You can come and help us pick out some baby clothes." I said softly. He looked up at me and sat up, he wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on my shoulder. 

"I love you little sister."

"I love you most Big brother." I leaned my head on his and traced his tattoo with my index finger. We stayed like that for a while. Eventually he pulled away and rolled off the bed and helped me to my feet, i felt my pup kick and I grabbed Adam's hand and placed it on my little one.

"You feel that little one, that is your best uncle Adam." I whispered to my belly making Adam laugh lightly.

"Hey little one, I can't wait to meet you and hold you and steal you from mom and dad while their not looking."

"If he does that he will be on poop-duty for a month." I said and Adam shrugged.

"I'll take what I can get." Adam said. I smiled and kissed his cheek, then we left his room and went to the living room. I grabbed my pretzels, wallet, phone and keys before turning and walking out the door. Adam walked out behind me holding Aylia's hand. I let Adam drive while I snacked on the pretzels, I occasionally fed him and Aylia some if I felt nice. We got to the mall and spent over 3 thousand dollars on clothes for us two girls and the pup with a few shirts for Adam and Riot. We got lunch and I grabbed water and another bag of pretzels for the ride home. We were in the parking garage when we came across a blood rouge trying to kidnap a feisty she wolf. Acting on instinct I walked toward them and using my royal power, growled at the rouge. He bowed his head and let the wolf go and she ran over toward me. I snarled at the rouge and his eyes changed from a deep red to a light hazel color, he dropped to the ground as I snarled again. He screamed in pain, I stopped snarling and I allowed him to stand, his eyes were a clear light hazel and he looked at me in disbelief.

"Name." I commanded.

"Colton, ma'am."

"Colton, I am Queen Tempest. Why did you want the she wolf?"

"Our boss commanded that we bring young she wolves to our compound, we were never told why, your highness."

"How did you become a blood rough Colton?"

"My mate was abusive and cheated on me. She is a crazy ass werewolf in the Moore-park pack. After is rejected her she killed my sister and brother. I killed her in a blind rage, I wasn't aware she was pregnant, but by the time I realized she had been carrying some other wolves child, I no longer cared." He said looking at the ground.

"How do you feel now?" I asked lightly.

"I feel everything I should have felt in the two years I have been a blood rouge. Guilt, shame, regret, lonely, but the worst is that I feel empty."

"Colton, do you know of a vampire named Locklin?" He nodded his head and his eyes fell to the floor. "I want to make a deal with you Colton." He met my eyes with his. They were full of surprise and hope? maybe.

"What is the deal your highness?" He asked timidly.

"I would like you to come to our pack. You have to understand, for the mental well being of my companions I will have to restrain you, I would like for you to tell us all the information on the blood rouge pack, and the whereabouts of Locklin. Then I will have you tested and if you pass, you will be given a spot in our pack." 

"That would be spectacular, thank you your highness. Thank you." Colton said a few tears falling from his eyes. He was handsome, and tall 6 ft 2 at least, his square face was chiseled and littered with stubble, his deepset upturned eyes were sparkling in the light, his long nose sat right above his pouty full lips. His platinum hair didn't match his dark brown eye brows. 

"My brother will restrain you now. Then we can get going." I said and Adam walked out from behind me and tied Colton's hands behind his back. I turned to the she wolf who was looking at me curiously.

"What is your name?"

"Brianna. Your highness." She said bowing her head.

"Do you have a pack to return to?" She nodded and I smiled.

"Then I do believe you should get back to them darling." I said and she smiled then bowed her head and walked away. I walked over to my car which I found while Adam finished restraining Colton, I motioned for them to follow me. Colton was placed in the backseat with our bags, I drove while Adam watched Colton from beside Aylia who was far from him as possible.

"So Colton, what skills do you have that could be useful for a pack?" I asked breaking the awkward silence.

"I'm a pretty good mechanic. I also make this amazing dish I call pasta dell burger. It is the freakin bomb." He replied causing me to laugh. We talked for a while and the tension in the car faded. We crossed the pack border and were met by a big black SUV I knew Riot was in.  I stopped the car and got out asking everyone to stay seated for a minute. Riot got out of the SUV followed by Max, I walked over to him and he smiled down at me and kissed me softly placing his hands on my belly. I had mind-linked him on our way home and explained everything. He didn't trust Colton, understandable, so he decided to meet us a the border. I looked into the loving eyes of my mate and I felt myself begin to cry, his expression changed to worry very quickly and he pulled me into his arms.

"Now is not the f*****g time hormones!" I yelled making Riot relax and chuckle. I heard Max trying to stifle his laughter from beside me.

"What set it off this time?" Riot asked amused.

"All I did was look at you! You are carrying the next pup!" I exclaimed. Max could no longer contain his laughter and he doubled over holding onto his knees.

"I am so sorry my queen, this is too funny." He laughed out.

"I'm gonna tell your mate to get you pregnant too then." I said crossing my arms and sticking my tongue out at him.

"Careful love we don't a repeat of this morning do we?" Riot asked teasing, I slapped my forehead as I thought of our escapades this morning and got wet. Max and Riot both doubled over laughing and I slapped my mate on his chest.

"Asshole!" I growled heading back to my car. Riot grabbed my arm stopping me and growling lowly.

"If you think I'm letting you ride in a car with other wolves while you smell so delicious you are sadly mistaken love."

"Fine take Colton, I'm mad at you. Adam, Aylia and I will all go home and I will get cleaned up, before meeting you in the conference room." I said turning away from Riot. 

(Ally: Max will you grab Colton? I have to get cleaned up before meeting you at the conference room.)

(Max: Of course Queen Tempest.) Max walked to the car and sort of explained the situation. I saw Adam start laughing and Colton looked amused. I walked to the car without another word to Riot, I climbed in the drivers seat and Adam coughed. I knew Riot had followed me over but I refused to acknowledge his presence.

"Yes Adam?" I asked playing dumb. I heard Riot growl. "Did you hear something? No? Must have been the wind." I said shrugging making Adam bite his bottom lip in an attempt to stifle his laughter. I felt Riot's fake anger through our mate bond, I sighed and looked at him. He was leaning in my window, his hands on the roof of my powder blue baby, he was giving me puppy eyes. I rolled my own and gave him a quick kiss before pushing him out of my window and driving off. Adam no longer contained his laughter.

"Have I ever told you how amazing you are?" 

"I thought he was gonna kill someone." Aylia said.

"Nah, that would make me mad, and he only wants to make me happy." I said shrugging my shoulders.
