Chapter 19: Puzzle pieces

"Alright Colton, tell us everything." I said as I sat down next to Riot after entering the conference room. I had cleaned up and pulled on one of Riot's shirts and a pair of new yoga pants. I skipped the make-up, and left my hair in the messy bun, I let Adam and Aylia stay at the house and put the baby clothes in the nursery. 

"Well no-one really knows who Boss is, we don't even know if Boss is a male or female. I'm just gonna say he, so I don't have to say Boss the whole time." Colton said sighing, I nodded and he continued. "He has taken an interest in a wolf in your pack, since she ripped apart four rouges. He is very adamant on killing you King Riot for your powers." Riot growled lowly, he lifted me from my chair and set me in his lap while shoving his face in my shoulder. Colton looked embarrassed, I smiled lightly at him.

"It's alright Colton keep going." I said and he nodded.

"He is always looking for a small wolf, he says the pup is one of the strongest ever born, and she will be able to do things no other wolf can." Aylia, he wants my sister.

"What about Locklin?" Riot asked.

"I don't know what his purpose is, all I know is Boss wants him alive." The wheels in my brain began spinning as I pieced the puzzle together.

"Oh shit." I whispered as I figured it out.

"What?" Riot asked.

"If you put the puzzle pieces together there is only one explanation for what Boss is doing." I said lightly. Riot and Colton both looked very confused, I rolled my eyes and put the pieces together for them.

"Young she-wolves, vampire male. Boss is trying to create hybrids." I said. "Locklin is vampire royalty which would give his offspring a better chance of survival over that of a regular male vamp. The young she-wolves have the most inviting environments for growing a baby. I mean it all adds up, I just want to know why, Boss wants so many hybrids."

"Boss wants to overthrow the crown, having a super powerful army of hybrids would do that." Colton said.

"Yes it would." Riot said.

"Not just the army. He wants to take out my mate, then use his strength against the royal family. This sucks, but there is a silver lining here." I said sighing.

"What would that be Queen Tempest?" Max asked. I gestured to him.

"What you just said Max, when Boss comes, he will be expecting to fight an Alpha and a Luna, not a King and Queen, we have the element of surprise. Boss also doesn't know we know about his plans. Max I want sentinels posted twenty-four seven, never a lone sentinel, I want pairs, always at least two. It is safer that way, you and I will call in our wolves after we are done here and make a schedule that works for everyone. We will do this once a week, Riot can you make sure our wolves have the shelter prepared in the event it is needed?" 

"Of course babe." Riot whispered in my ear, Max nodded at me.

(Tempest: Tiffany will you come in please?)

The door opened and Tiffany walked into the room. "Colton, please hold your hand out to Tiffany." I gestured to her and he obliged. I nodded at her and she took Colton's hand. I leaned against Riot as they went into a trance like state. After about a minute they blinked a few times and came back to the room.

"His past is stormy, much like both of yours." Tiffany began. "He has done a few unhonorable deed is his past, but his intentions for us are pure, you have cleared his mind completely my Queen. I have never seen anything like it. He passes my test." I nodded as Riot kissed my shoulder.

"Colton, seeing as you passed, we will initiate you tomorrow, but for the rest of the day I would like you to go to the garage with our other mechanics and make sure our vehicles are ready for a prompt get away, should it be necessary. I'll call Red up and he will take you down and introduce you to the men and women you will be working with." I pulled myself from Riots lap and walked around a bit. I felt a small pain in my stomach as my little one kicked at my belly. I put my hands on my bump and purred down at it. "Is there something you would like to add little one?" I said softly making Riot chuckle as he walked up behind me.

............ 1 month and 3 weeks later...............

Allison POV

I had 2 more weeks until I finally got to meet my little pup. Riot wanted to be surprised so we still don't know if we are having a boy or girl. But we have names! Lyric Fay for a little girl or Fay Adam for a boy, seeing as Fay is the name of my dad. Adam moved back into his own place with Aylia. Spencer's birthday was a few days after we initiated Colton, he was surprised with the nursery, he even hugged Adam. I wished I had gotten it on camera. We were always on guard for the possible attack of blood rouges. With the help of Colton, we were able to slip into a blood rouge hide out and free ten she-wolves and Locklin who was getting ready to go home. He looked like the vampire king, he looked to be around 23 years old, he said he was 129 but stopped aging at 23. 

He and I were sitting on the porch of the pack-house when we heard to sound of engines making their way toward us. We smiled at each other and watched the road to see who won the bet. Not only was the Vampire king coming, but Derrick, Darren, Beth and little Sienna. I bet Locklin 20 dollars that Beth would be here first, he took the bait, stupidly. Just as I had said a white SUV came into our line of sight, Riot walked out of the pack house and stood behind me, Adam by his side. Adam's heart made a full recovery after three weeks of moping around. I hobbled off the porch and hit the last step as Darren flew from the SUV, he ran toward us and attacked my legs, I fell back into Riot's hard chest and laughed.

"Darren!" Derrick shouted walking up. "Ally is about to have a baby! Don't make her fall!" 

"Sorry Ally. I missed you." He said shyly. I had Riot lift him to my level making him giggle.

"I missed you too little one!" I said kissing his forehead.

"Don't worry Riot, I missed you too." Darren giggled making my handsome mate smile. 

"Ally!" Beth shouted as she reached me. She was no larger than a stick, when last I saw her she was as large as me. She laughed as I looked at her tiny figure.

"It takes a few weeks and a lot of excersize." She said smiling. 

"Hello family o' royals, nice to see 'ye again." Locklin said stepping down. Just then a big black SUV pulled in and in a blur Joseph had Locklin in his arms.

"Locklin 'ye wee devil I've missed 'ye." Joseph exclaimed.

"I've missed 'ye too old man!" Locklin said embracing Joseph back. 

"Queen Tempest!" I heard a familiar voice call and I saw Nora by the SUV. I waddled over to her as a she-wolf I never met climbed out of the SUV. "This is my daughter Embry." She said introducing me. I smiled and took her hand.

"You were studying at Cambridge correct?" I asked her. But she was too distracted looking around me. I watched her face and I saw her nostrils flare and i knew she smelled her mate. I reached out and took her hand and led her toward everyone else. I squealed when I saw Adam staring at Embry. He found his second chance mate, I hobbled to him as fast as I could pulling Embry with me.

"Adam this is Embry!" I squeaked happily. 

"Embry." He said tasting her name.

"Adam." She purred. I was so excited I didn't even notice everyone was staring at me. I bit my bottom lip and watched them before Adam looked at me, then the ground, then back to my face. I knew i was grinning like a fool, but these people need to get a life.

"Little sister! Your water broke!" Adam shouted. I looked down but only saw my large bump, I suddenly felt that my legs were wet though.

"Well s**t!" I shouted surprised.
