Haunted

{Jade POV} The door slammed, and I heard people talking, and then Aiden shouted before sounds of wild s****l activity echoed in the house. Hearing this, I knew right away that it was Cazion and some girl. I hugged my legs close to me and started crying. The sounds coming from the office area grew louder as time went on, and soon, a slight knock pulled me out of my position on the bed. As I walked to the door and peeked out, I saw Aiden very upset. My heart sank, but I opened the door anyway, letting him come inside. We sat down and talked, trying to forget and drown out the noise. Hours later, the sounds finally died, and I was able to fall asleep. The nightmares would soon start to haunt my dreams once more. The world had faded black around me. I slowly awakened as I looked around the room. I slide from the bed, slowly looking around, feeling a strange sensation that I am in my room, but at the same time, I'm not. I slowly moved around the room, making my way to the door and opening it. I waited by the cracked door, trying to listen for familiar sounds of the mansion. Suddenly, I heard the sound of my parents talking downstairs. Thrown into confusion, I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. When I approached the kitchen doorway, I saw the sight of the kitchen from my childhood home. Slowly, I approached my mother, who was standing in the kitchen cooking. I placed my hand on her shoulder gently. "Mom?" the words were barely able to leave my lips, with a small quiver in them. She slowly turned around and looked at me as if I had lost my mind. "Jade honey, what's the matter?" She held the spatula in her hands as I took a step back and covered my mouth with my hand. Tears welled up in my eyes as I moved backward. I nearly tripped over the table as my mother stood there dressed in her apron and Sunday best, but instead of the smell of her perfume and pancakes, all that hit my nose was the strong metallic smell of copper. My mother's throat had been ripped open, and she was covered in blood. I tried to scream but all that managed to escape was breathy sobs, from the other side of me I heard my father's voice. "Jade, why are you standing there gawking at your mother? Set the table, will you? We have church in half an hour." This time, a full scream escaped my throat as my father sat in his chair, his jaw ripped from his face and eyes carved out. Lying on the counter where my mother was preparing breakfast lay his dead secretary. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt hands grab me and start to shake me, which felt violent. "Jade! Jade wak,e up!" I heard the sound of Aiden's voice as my eyes shot open. I sat up breathing heavily. Tears streaming down my face, I looked at Aiden. "Jade, are you okay? I heard you screaming from downstairs. I was worried..." Aiden's voice trailed off as I collapsed into his arms, crying hard. I felt Aiden gently place his hand on the back of my head, stroking my hair. "Shhhh, it's okay, Jade. I'm here. What happened?" As he held me, the sobs only grew louder. Suddenly, I felt Caz standing in the doorway. "Jade? Aiden, what happened? Is she okay?" Worry covered Cazion's face, but he tried to hide it. "I don't know, Caz...but I don't see why you care. You have all but abandoned her, and I don't think she wants to see you right now..." Aiden refused to look at Caz except for a small side glance. His eyes were borderline red as a small warning to Cazion. I felt his grip on me tighten as he was letting me know he was there and would keep me safe. Cazion growled slightly and took a step closer before Aiden snarled and bared his fangs. "Aiden, you dare threaten me?" Cazion's eyes narrowed. "When it comes to her, yes, I will protect her with my life, even if it's from you." Aiden spat, venom lacing his every word. Cazion stopped in his tracks, realizing Aiden was not going to back down and was ready to strike if needed. Cazion had only ever seen Aiden like this with him and knew the true potential of Aiden's strength and skill. Cazion nodded softly and took a step backward out of the doorway, realizing the damage his actions had caused not only to Aiden but also to me. ***** {Cazion POV} As I stood in the doorway watching Aiden, a million things ran through my mind. Was he trying to make Jade his? Aiden had never acted this way with anyone before, and the fact he was willing to turn on me for her set off alarm bells. I quietly moved away from the door and made my way down to my study, trying to rack my brain. As I opened the door, the sl*t I had been f*cking in the past month made her way over to me, grabbing hold of me. "Mmmm, there you are. I was wondering where you ran off to." She ran her hand over my bulge as I looked at her. "Take your hands off me, and I have grown tired of you. You can take your leave now." The lack of emotion in my voice sent a look of confusion across her face. "Grew tired of me? You were just f*cking the hell out of me and telling me how much you love my p*ssy!" She grabbed tighter at my arm. "I'm not f*cking going anywhere but down on my c*ck!" I growled, slamming her against the wall by her throat. "B*tch ain't NOTHING here YOURS!" Instinctively, my fingers tightened around her throat. "You are nothing more than a piece of a*s when I was bored! Now, unless you want me to kill you right here, get the f*ck out of my house!" I could feel her breath growing ragged as I dropped her onto the floor and walked over to my desk. "Cazion, you can't do this to me. I have nowhere else to go!" She begged, crawling over to my desk and holding onto my leg. I growled loudly as my eyes turned bright red and my fangs extended. I grabbed her once more. "I gave you the chance to leave. You don't listen very well, do you?" Her eyes widened as I leaned forward and sank my fangs deep into her throat. A blood-curdling scream left her mouth before her body went limp in my hand after I drained every drop of blood from her body. I opened my hand, letting her corpse collapse into a heap on the floor. "Don't overstep your place b*tch." I spat before sitting down at my desk. ***** {Aiden's POV} I watched Caz walk away watching us. I heard him making his way down the stairs as I lifted Jade's chin to look at me. "It's okay Jade, he's gone, now what happened?" The concern in her eyes was bright and very forthcoming. "I...I had a dream. I was at home, and I went into the kitchen, and I found my parents...except my mother's throat was ripped out and my father was missing his eyes and jaw..." the sound of her voice quivering broke my heart. "What would bring you to have a dream like that?" She shrugged slightly wiping her cheeks. Suddenly, we heard a loud commotion going on downstairs. "I'll be right back, Jade. Let me see what's going on." She nodded as I placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and made my way downstairs. I walked to the cracked open door of Caz's study, watching the two arguing. I shook my head in disgust as I watched the brunette crawl to Cazion's side. I rolled my eyes, watching the pathetic creature cling to my king's leg when, suddenly, Caz grabbed the creation by the hair and sank his fangs into her, draining her dry. I couldn't help but find myself smirking as I watched her lifeless body thud to the floor. I gently opened the door as Caz's gaze fell upon me. "What is it, Aiden?" I entered the room as the smirk was still deeply burned on my lips. "Need help removing the trash, my king?" Caz chuckled at me, blood still streaming from his lips.
