CHAPTER 5

JACK'S P.O.V ( continued.. .)

I saw her running towards a black car parked just across the road from the main exit, next to the car stood a woman wearing dark black jeans and a turquoise blouse, a beautiful face and alluring similar eyes. It wasn’t hard to tell that she was the girl’s mother. Her face resembled the face of the girl. The woman kept looking at her watch and patting her foot.

"MOM!! Just one second. Sorry!!!" shouted the girl as she crossed the road.

See! I knew it.

I saw two-three big suitcases on the back seat.

SUIT what? Is she leaving already? But she just came!! Is this what is happening? Is this how god finally decides to take revenge on me?

"MOM? Are we going somewhere?" she said and hugged her mom. Her mom wrapped her arms around her and led her to the car while whispering something. They both got in the car and drove away.

Before I could go and get my car and follow / stalk them,I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned around to see Troy who was looking around trying to find out what was I looking at.

"Let's go in bro. We are already late for Mr. Stinky Dinky’s class" he said while he kicked me little in the knees and ran away, teasing me. I smiled and chased him, taking one last glimpse of the road

Sara's P.O.V:

The confusion in me grew when I saw packed suitcase on the back seat of the car.

"Where are we going?” I asked.

“Sean has been into accident. All I know is that his condition is severe and I have to get there. I will be staying with him until his full recovery. His dad sounded fishy over the phone and I have a sick feeling in my gut. I am sorry sweetie pie but you will have to take care of yourself for a few weeks. I didn’t have time to stock up the pantry but I did made a quick ziti. I have left some cash in your closet and my credit card so you can go and shop. I have also asked Pete to give you the rent cheque next week. So you will be covered.” Mom explained.

"OMG that’s terrible! What happened to him? How did he get into accident?” I asked as tears filled my eyes.

" He was riding that bike I always dreaded. I think he slipped bad but your dad isn't really being open with me. " tears filling up her eyes.

"Mom! Don't worry he will be fine as soon as his eyes land on you. Don't worry about me I will take care of myself. You go to him and do your magic "AABRRAA KA DABBRAA" thing you are so good at and get him back on his feet." I said with moving my hands like a magician with a heavy voice to add some effects.

Mom laughed and I felt relieved.

"Mom! I was wondering since I will be alone living till the time you don't come back what if I can let my friends live with me? "

"That sounds great Sara! You mean Hannah,right? "

"Not just her. I met two girls today, they are new to this town and they are like realllyyyy sweet. They don't have a place to live at the time. They are not liking the campus facilities. . Mom! Please let them move in. I don't want to stay alone. Plus other girls will help out with chores and stuff and also there is that safety things. More the merrier."

"And how many boys will be there? Are they hot? " winks mom.

"MOM! Please! Its just girls." I said blushing.

She laughed and said "Okay! Sara as you wish. But I hope you girls are ready to take the full responsibility. You guys need to focus on studies too. "

She told me that the restaurant will provide me with cheques to help me financially and also that I should go and check the place at random times to give them surprise visit. She listed all the things I should and should not do. I knew most of the part. We reached airport. We hugged and she reminded thousands times that I am not supposed to open the door when I see any stranger( I watch thriller movies and read about serial killers.. I know better than not latching my door shut and keeping knife under my pillow) and that I should not leave my things here and there and to god knows what. She kept saying same things for like fifteen minutes until some gentleman came and patted her shoulder and reassured her by telling her he promised to never do the same for her sake.

And that's when she quit speaking, gave me keys and money and a tight hug. I fought back tears and waved at her.

Well, I got some real great news for Hannah and other two girls.

Now all I want is this day to end and go to college tomorrow. To see my friends and that hottie!!! Man! I really gotta stop thing about him. I will have to find a new hobby.

I took the car and went to the house. Not straight away but with a little stop at Pizza Junction down the street with those amazing, cheesy, big ass pizzas. With car keys in one hand and money in the other, baby there was nothing holding me back.

I ordered my favorite farmhouse pizza with garlic breadsticks and one coke to choke all the grease down. I rode home to see my infuriating neighbor standing in the front door already.

"WHAT IS IT? Can I help you?" I asked while taking out my food and bag.

"Yes you can! Can you just make sure that your irritating leaves of that tree do not fall in my pool and make it all dirty. do you see how annoying this is? Do you know how much it irks me?" and started leaning towards me.

"Pretty sure that they do not irk you more than you do me." I said and moved right past him to enjoy my warm pizza and chilled coke.

"All I heard was you saying YOU DO ME" I heard his voice behind me.
