Beau was asleep on the chair. He’d stripped out of his shirt at some point, arms crossed over his stomach, his bare feet dangling over the chair’s arm. He was going to get a hell of a cricked neck, with his head bent at that uncomfortable angle. On the coffee table were Vin’s clothes from earlier that evening. Washed. Dried. Folded. The belt wrapped up in a neat, snake-like coil. Vin pressed his hand to his chest, something strange and hot and wonderful twisting around in it. Beau couldn’t help him with the drinking issues, but Vin could see the thought that went into the gesture. Here, this is something you don’t have to worry about.
