While technically he was a member of Suree’s brother’s gym, Beau didn’t directly work with Sunan. Instead, Suree provided most of Beau’s training.
“Sunan prefers to save his sessions for those he trains to fight in the Muay Thai,” Suree explained. “And we both have the same training. Here in Thailand, however, I am considered a less capable teacher, because I am female.”
Beau shrugged. “Not that different than in the States. Guess people are assholes all over.”
Suree paused in her critique of his form, straightening his arm, locking his fingers. “I have heard it is better there.”
Beau shook his head, set his feet apart, getting ready to address the punching dummy again. “Don’t believe all the press you hear. I ain’t sayin’ it’s terrible, but we still got a ways t’go.”
