Skype, as a solution, didn’t work as well as Beau might have wanted. Between Vin’s new work schedule and Beau’s own—especially coupled with his inability to walk away from a half-completed folder, which had resulted in his staying late several days in a row—led to not actually being able to sync up. By the time the second weekend rolled around, Beau was desperate for a few words of reassurance and to check in. Vin was, he discovered, a terrible correspondent.
