CHAPTER 10 - LEFT

HANNAH I was standing in front of Apollo's apartment. I straightened my back and combed my hair with my fingers, and then I rang the doorbell. I hid by the side of the door so he couldn't see me through the peephole. I heard the lock click and in a few seconds it opened. "Apollo, I missed you, baby." I jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck. "You're too early!" "You're not going to let me in first?" "Won't you let me go first? I'm choking," he said coldly while holding my arms. I pouted and took a step back. He moved a little and let me enter his condo. I sat on the sofa and grinned at him. "I bought movie tickets." He rolled his eyes at me and entered his bedroom. I turned on the television to entertain myself while waiting for him to get dressed. It’s been thirty minutes and he’s still not coming out. What’s taking him so long? I walked to his kitchen— finding a snack while waiting for the lady to come out of his bedroom. I opened the cupboard and tiptoed to reach for the Pringles. As I was about to open the can, I heard the doorknob click. I hurriedly closed the cabinet door and rushed to the sofa. But because of my heels, I tripped. “What the hell are you doing?” “Ouch,” I whispered and tried to hide the pain. He put his arms on my waist to help me stand. This is embarrassing. What the hell is wrong with me?! When I looked at him, my eyebrows curled as I saw what he was wearing. Boxer and t-shirt? Wtf! "Why are you dressed like that?" "Let's just stay here." He carried me in his arms, and we sat on the sofa. He is sitting beside me but there’s no amount of hotness can stop me from being annoyed. He took the remote control and switched the channels. "No way! I’m all dressed up. I didn’t wake up at six in the morning to go to the salon just to spend our date inside your condo." I stood in front of him. "My feet really hurt in those heels; you didn't even appreciate it." "Remove your shoes, problem solved. And you look beautiful today. Thank you for the effort.” "Hmph!" I cried and went back to sitting and unhooked my shoes. "Hurry up. My floor is going to get dirty." "You should be thankful that I love you because I really want to hit you with a pringle can," I whispered as I took off my shoes in a bad mood. I was surprised by the next thing he did. He took my feet and placed them on his lap. I almost moaned when I felt his warm palm massaging my foot. "Let's stay here. I also have movies that we can watch." “What, like por—” “Hannah, come on.” I smiled sweetly. "No matter where I go, as long as I'm with you, I'm happy." He stood up and entered the room. After a while, he came back and handed me a shorts and a shirt. "Get dressed first. I know you have a hard time with that tiny dress," he said as he pointed to my dress. "I'll wear your clothes?" "You do not want it?" I took it from him before he changed his mind. I embraced it. "I love you!" I entered the room to get dressed. I laughed at the print on the t-shirt. 'Just do me.' The t-shirt reached halfway up my thigh, so it's okay that I don't wear shorts. I went out and stood next to Apollo. I put my feet on his lap again, but he glared at me. “You didn’t wear shorts.” “No, but it’s okay. The t-shirt is enough.” He frowned. “Don't you have any self-awareness?" He stared at me so long that it made my body hot. I licked my lower lips and stood up to go back to the room. “Good girl.” Oh, that made me wet a little bit. I wore the shorts and went back to him. I placed my feet on his lap and he rolled his brow. "What is this?" he asked. "Massage it again. It still hurts," I said, cutely. "I just washed my hands, moved them." "My feet don't stink. I don't even have a callus on my heel. See?" "It's hard for me to move, because your thigh is heavy." "You're terrible!" I sat on the other end of the sofa and hugged my legs. I yawned. "It's a shame that we’ll not use the movie tickets I booked. I didn’t sleep well because I had planned a lot for this day." "No one is asking." I hit his arm in annoyance. "You have a bad attitude." We didn't take advantage of my tickets, so in return I was the one who picked our movie marathon. Everything we watch is made by Disney. He didn't complain, so I just continued. I touched his arm and slightly yanked his shirt. "Make some popcorn, please?" "What flavor?" "Cheese." He sighed before getting up and going to the kitchen. In just a few minutes, I could smell the fragrant smell of cooked popcorn. He returned to the living room and dropped the bowl of popcorn on the center table. I moved closer to him and lifted his arm before snuggling into his side. "I'm cold." He sighed again and let me lean against him. Until I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep. When I woke up, I was facing Apollo who was now sleeping peacefully next to me. Fortunately, the sofa was big enough for both of us. I looked at his gentle face and smiled at the loss. I really love this man. You don't love me now, but eventually you will be mine too. "Apollo..." I caressed his cheek and squeezed it a little. "Hmm." I traced the beautiful line of his nose. "I'm hungry." "Cook. I'm sleepy." "I'm feeling lazy." "Then, you will die of hunger." It was heavy in my heart, but I stood up. Even if this happens only once in my entire life, I still can't bear the screams of my stomach. I went to his kitchen and took all the ingredients I would use. I opened the cabinet below. "Where's the salt?" "It's in the second cabinet to your left.” I turned because his voice sounded nearby. And I was right because he was leaning at the counter behind me. I raised an eyebrow. "I thought you were still sleepy." "I have to watch you, maybe you don't know how to cook, and you'll burn down my kitchen." He came closer to me and put his hand on the sink. I was almost hypnotized by his gaze. "You're a walking disaster." "And you're a walking temptation." He chuckled. "You're crazy." "It's nice to be next to you, isn't it? Apart from the fact that I don't catch a cold, you still smell good." "You too." I gasped as Apollo's face approached mine. "You smell... coconut." Is that even a compliment? No, I’ll take it. "I’ll let that slide. But I really want to kiss you," I whispered to myself. Apollo grabbed my chin and brought my face to him. "You're all talk." I swallowed and looked down at his lips. I unconsciously licked my lower lip. I was about to close my eyes to meet his lips when Apollo's doorbell rang. He left and I continued cutting the garlic. A few minutes after he left, I heard a familiar voice approaching the kitchen. "Why are you sending me away, big brother?" Wait. It was Adonis' voice. I turned around when I heard his voice behind me. "Who are you with— Hannah!" "Adonis! Hi." "You're here! What— Why— Ho— Damn! You're wearing my brother’s favorite shirt!" He said while pointing to the t-shirt I was wearing. "Has something happened to you guys?" "Nothing,” I answered. "Really?! Don't lie!" I was almost deafened by Adonis' screams. I shook my head. "He just lent it to me." "f**k this!" Adonis faced his brother. His gaze was sharp. "You better not, bro. I will burn everything you own, so you better not!" That's all Adonis said, and he left. I chased after him, but Apollo stopped me before I could even get out of the condo. "You can't go out wearing that." He said while holding my shoulder. "We're not doing anything wrong," I said weakly. He smirked. "We’re not. But somehow, he assumed. Just let it go." Before I could hit him on the shoulder, he grabbed my hand. He bent slightly and brought his face closer to me. "Five days left, my dear Hannah. I repeat, five days is all you got," he said. My smile instantly fades away.
