8. Foiled

1311 Words

8 Foiled I am determined not to let my worries about Kempton spoil my afternoon. I tap on the Captain’s cabin door and when I receive no answer, I try the handle. It’s not locked and so I push the door open. I’m a few minutes early, but he is expecting me so he won’t mind. I close the door softly behind me and look around. The room is dim; the drapes drawn. He isn’t in the sitting room. I pull my T-shirt off over my head and drop it on the floor in my haste to undress and give the Captain a teasing surprise. I kick off my flip-flops. I undo the clasp on my b*a and slide the straps down my arms. The door to the balcony glides open and the Captain steps in. Oh, no! He’s holding the drapes aside. There’s someone with him. It all happens so quickly I don’t have time to move or cover myself.
