"Eat regularly and don't forget to take your vitamins and milk, Ra. If it's time for a check-up with the doctor, and you're still there, I'll accompany you. I'll try to talk to your father as soon as possible, Ra."
Danira nodded, then landed a kiss on Bara's cheek, standing slightly on tiptoe.
They went downstairs together. Bara could have fought Danira's father to keep his wife; he certainly had the right to do so. But he didn't want to do that; knowing Danira wanted him to fight for her was enough for him, despite his past mistakes. Bara would not force or use violence to keep Danira as his wife.
