Chapter 7

The next morning Trae dropped me off back at my condo. I didn't want him to go but he had to work. "I'll see you later for dinner" he asked. "I'd love to" I replied. He kissed me goodbye and waited until I was inside my condo to leave.

I couldn't stop replaying the night before over and over in my head. He had shown me a love like I had never known. I was totally and unequivocally in love with Trae! I walked through my house wearing last night's clothes but there was no shame in my walk. I walked into my bathroom lit some candles, stripped down and got into my jacuzzi tub. I sank down into the hot water and bubbles and closed my eyes just for a minute, or so I thought. I was startled awake by a loud bang at my door. I hopped out of the tub, threw my robe on and ran downstairs excited to tell Dee about last night. Assuming it was Dee I swung the door open and Kai was standing there. I tried to slam the door and he put his foot in it and pushed his way into my condo. "Kai you need to leave" I yelled. "We need to talk" he said aggressively. "We have nothing to talk about Kai now leave" I said sternly. "I'm not leaving until you talk to me princess " he spat out. "I'm not your f*****g princess " I screamed and kneed him in his balls. I took off running up stairs and he ran right behind me. I skirted around the corner to my bathroom and lunged for my phone but before I could reach it Kai snatched me backwards by my hair and wrapped his hands around my throat. He was squeezing so hard that I couldn't breathe. I was thinking in my head "this is it. This nigga is gonna kill me"! Suddenly he let go and the air whooshed back into my lungs. I was coughing and crawling away when I heard a knock at the door. Kai dove for me and wrapped his hand around my mouth. "Don't make a sound" he said through his teeth. I bit down on his fingers and screamed at the top of my lungs. That's when Kai punched me in the head. I mean he rang my damn bell! I could hear my heart beating in my ears. Through the noise I heard Trae say "you muthafucka" then he was on Kai. He was wailing on Kai. He dragged him downstairs and threw him out the door. Kai was outside now screaming "this ain't over b***h! I'll be back!" "You come back and I'll kill yo ass" Trae hollered back as he was making his way back upstairs to where I was on the bathroom floor. "Baby are you ok? I will kill that b***h ass nigga" he was saying as he sat down on the floor and wrapped his arms and legs around me tightly. He sat there holding me for a few minutes then he stood up and gently lifted me up off the floor and carried me to my bed. He cradled my face and looked into my eyes and I could see so much compassion in his beautiful green eyes it made my heart melt. "I'm ok baby" I said. "What the hell happened" he asked. I quickly told him what had just taken place. "I'm gonna kill that nigga" he said. "No baby he's not worth it" I replied. "Well I don't want you staying here alone right now" he said. "You're coming home with me". "Ok" I said and tried to get up to pack a bag. He gently sat me back down and said "don't move bae just tell me what you need and I got you". So I told him what to pack and where to find my Louis duffle. He ran around my room packing my things for me. Then he helped me down the stairs and to his Range. He opened the door for me and I slid into the truck. Then he put my duffle in the backseat and got in too. "Why are you here" I asked. "I mean I thought you were at work". "I decided to surprise you for lunch" he replied. "I'm so glad I did! I don't even want to think about what might have happened if I hadn't showed up" he said. I could hear the fear in his voice. "Well you did show up and I'm so grateful" I said. "My knight in shining armor" I looked over and smiled at him. We were quiet for the rest of the drive to his house.

When we pulled up to Trae's driveway there was a huge gate with an M on it and a little booth with a gatekeeper working inside. "Hey Mike how you doing today" Trae asked. "I'm great Mr. Mathis how are you today" the gatekeeper replied. "Could be better but I'm ok" Trae said. "Well have a better day Mr. Mathis" he replied and pushed a button so the large gate swung open. We pulled down a half mile driveway and drove up in front of an amazing home. I was kind of speechless when I saw it. "This is where you live" I asked in awe. "Yes this is where I live" he chuckled. "Wow this is insane" I said. "Well this is the family home. I do have a condo downtown but I figured you would be much more comfortable here with the staff pampering you a little" he said. "Family home? So does that mean your parents are here" I asked. "Well my dad is away on business but my Mama is here and Tris is here" he said. "So I'm about to meet your mom " I asked nervously. "Well I figured I'd take you to the guesthouse and let you get yourself together before you meet her. I don't want her freaking out about the bruise coming up on your face" he said. "Great thinking bae. I'll go get dressed and put some makeup on my face first " I replied. "I hope she likes me" I said. "She's gonna love you because I love you " he said. There goes that ringing in my ears again. Did he just say he loves me? I didn't know what to say back so I kinda stuttered and said "you...you love me"? "Yes Leilani I do love you. I'm not one of those guys who are afraid to admit their feelings to a woman. I love you and I'm proud to say it" he said. "I...I don't know what to say " I said. "You don't have to say anything baby. I love you and that's that. I know you love me too so you don't have to say a word" he laughed. I do love him I'm just terrified not only of saying but I'm terrified of feeling it! I just closed my mouth and followed him to the guesthouse. We walked through a little courtyard area that was spectacular! The shrubbery and the flowers were beautiful! You could smell the magnolias and the jasmine in the air. This was a dream!

The guesthouse was bigger than my condo. There was a huge swimming pool with huge rocks and a waterfall in the middle. There was a slide that curved along the side and went straight into the deep end of the pool. He led me around the pool to a set of french doors. When we walked in there was a pool table to the right and the kitchen on the left. There was a nice size living room area with a huge flat screen TV hanging on the wall. There were two round sofa chairs sitting on either side of a beautiful white leather tufted sofa and chaise lounge. "Wow this is nice Trae" I exclaimed. "Thank you" he said "my mama has great taste. She decorated every inch of this estate". He led me into the bedroom and showed me to the bathroom so that I could freshen up and cover my battle wounds. When I looked in the mirror I gasped and covered my mouth with my hand. That piece of s**t marked my face up good this time! This was the second time he had bruised my face, I promised myself right then that there would not be a third.

I showered and changed clothes. Then put some makeup on my face to hide the bruises. When I walked out of the room Trae was sitting on the sofa in the living room with his face in his hands. "What's wrong baby" I asked. "Nothing bae I'm ok" he replied. "I'm just worried about you". "I'm ok Trae" I replied. "Yeah but what if I hadn't decided to surprise you for lunch? I can't stand to think of what he might have done to you! I mean he damn near strangled you to death Lani look at your neck" he exclaimed. I just stood there looking at him with tears coming down my face. He jumped up and was in front of me in two strides. He wrapped his arms around me and planted his face in my neck and said" baby don't cry I got you ". "I just can't believe he did this to me" I said.

A few minutes later we were walking back through the courtyard and heading towards the main house. I was freaking out inside because I was about to meet Trae's mom! He held my hand and led me into the foyer and I was speechless! The floors were black and white granite tile and there was a double staircase that led up to the second floor. There was a balcony that circled the entire top floor. "Wow" I said. "This is the house you were raised in" I asked. "Well technically this is our summer house" he laughed. "The house in Beverly Hills is much worse". "Worse" I asked. "Bigger" he said. "My mom has very extravagant taste". "It's stunning " I said. "You're stunning " he replied. "And you're a cornball " I laughed. "Is that my baby I hear" a sweet voice asked. "Yeah mama it's me" Trae said.

His mom walked into the room and she was absolutely beautiful! She was tall and slim/thick. Her hair was long black ringlets falling down her back and on her shoulders. She had the same almost green eyes that Trae has, as well as the dimples in both cheeks. She reached out and pulled me into a tight hug and she smelled like Versace. "It's so great to meet you Leilani! Trae has told me so much about you" she said. "It's very nice meeting you Mrs. Mathis I hope it was all good things" I said and winked at Trae. "Are you guys hungry" she asked. "Come on Cecelia just got done fixing lunch " she said. Trae and I followed her into the spacious, beautiful kitchen and we all sat at the dining table. Cecelia walked in pushing a cart and served us each a grilled shrimp salad with croutons and vinaigrette dressing. Then she poured us each mimosas. "So Leilani, Trae tells me you're originally from here in Miami" Mrs. Mathis said. "Yes ma'am I am. You can call me Lani" I said. "Ok Lani" she said with a smile. Then we finished up lunch with some small talk. "Dinner will be at 7pm this evening will you be accompanying us" Mrs. Mathis asked Trae. "Yes mama we'll be here. I was hoping Lani could stay a few days with us if that's ok with you" Trae replied. "Of course baby she's welcome. You're very welcome here Lani. Cecelia will make sure you have everything you need" she said. "Thank you Mrs. Mathis for your hospitality" I said. She just smiled sweetly and got up from the table and left the room.

"Miss Lani let me show you to your room" Cecelia said sweetly. Trae gave me a look that said " go ahead bae". "Yes ma'am" I said. She led the way to the double staircase and I followed her up the stairs. When we reached the top she went left and I followed. She stopped in front of french doors that looked like something out of the Titanic. When I walked into the room there was a wooden four poster bed made up with a beautiful white goose down feather comforter and a thousand pillows. The room was absolutely gorgeous! The drapes were from floor to ceiling. Cecilia walked over and opened the drapes and the windows were from floor to ceiling too. There was another set of french doors that opened up to a balcony that overlooked the swimming pool. This house was insane! " I will have Gary bring your things over from the guesthouse sweetheart. Get some rest before dinner" Cecilia said. A nap sounded amazing after the day I had so I replied" yes ma'am I will". Then she closed the door.

I stripped down into my bra and panties and crawled up into the beautiful bed. As soon as I hit those pillows I was out. I don't know how long I was asleep before I felt a nice warm body curl up behind me and move my hair away from my neck. Then the sweetest, softest kisses were on my neck. I moaned a little and rolled over to face my man. He pulled me in closer and started kissing me hard! I broke away breathless and said "your mom". "She went into town and I locked the doors" he said. He positioned himself on top of me and slid my panties off. Then slid a Magnum on, lifted my legs to his shoulders and slowly slid into me until I was full of him. I let out a high pitch moan and he started giving me all of him. He turned me onto my side and started hitting it harder until I exploded into back to back orgasms. He scooped me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist while he walked me to the shower inside my room, turned the shower on and walked into it carrying me. Then he put my back against the wall and slid back into me. He slowly grinded inside of me and never broke eye contact. It was like he was looking into my soul. We finished showering then laid back down and I finished my nap.
