18 Sam “Just lay down Sam, Lady Taytra will ride up with Ward soon. You’ll see,” Miss Jean says, leaning back against the cart. But he doesn’t feel right lying down in the cart. All the others had lain around him, letting the bump of the cart begin to lull them to sleep. But Sam stays awake and alert and ready to fight with the little dagger Ward had given him.
