3 Ten Days Later Tempest and I stroll through a hallway in the Purple Palace. This entire structure is formed from intricate stained glass. Sunlight sparkles through the rainbow of colors on the walls, floor and ceiling. Outside of the stained glass, a haze of butterflies flit through the air. No, not butterflies. Tiny dragons. The Mindarey. These are miniature dragons with exceptionally long tails along with multi-hued wings. Don’t get me wrong. For the first few minutes, the sight of the Mindarey is nothing less than breathtaking—hundreds of tiny dragons with brightly colored wings swoop around you. Then things go downhill, fast. The little creatures land on your shoulders. Get caught in your hair. Swarm before your face, their long tails flicking in a way that says, your eyes are
