Zero's Cheat System

Family Part-01

After the conversation with Beck, he reached home.

He looked at the house and says "I didn't expect it to be a fancy house or something but it's not bad, it's a decent house......"

He entered the house. He saw a small space with a dining table and a small kitchen on the other side of the dinner table. He also saw two rooms in the front of his eye, as he walked towards the left room and said "this should be zero's room, I mean my room."

He went inside the room and saw there was a small bed that was only for one person and a small table right beside the bed. Also, a small chest-looking box on the ground beside the table.

"A simple-looking room. Nice I like it." He said that with a satisfied expression.

He goes close to the box and says "I think this is the place where zero stores his clothes and other stuff."

He opened the chest of boxes and saw one clothes and a small bag of silver in there.

"Not much in here, just one clothes and some money, hmmm that's okay with me for now, but I need some clothes."

He picks up the clothes and money. "I hope you forgive me zero, for taking your money. I know you have been saving these for an emergency, but don't worry, I'll make more money in the future, so don't worry about it, okay."

"Hmmm, where is the bathroom? I think it's outside of the house."

He walks outside and takes a shower and changes into new clothes.

The clothes he puts on are a normal t-shirt and normal pants with old shoes.

"I know this does not look good, but it's better than the ripped-off clothes, right?"

"Now let's go to the second entrance to meet my father." He chuckles a little.

He went to the village's second entrance.

He saw two men standing in front of the entrance of the village.

One on the left side, with a big beard on his face, and looks near the age of 55 years old.

And the other person on the right side, with no beard on his face and looks 50 years old.

"It looks like the right one is Zero's father, he should be Jetson, and what I can remember to form the memory of Zero is he was a hunter in his early life, but after marriage, for his son and his wife, he stops being a hunter. Because Hunter's job is dangerous, you can get killed anytime, so he thought if he wanted to protect his family and live a happy life he needed to end his hunting career, so he quit being a hunter and got a job in the village as a guard."

He walked towards the entrance and shouted " Father, you are looking for me."

His father turned back and saw his son coming at him.

He answered him with an angry face "where have you been all day? I was looking for you all over the place and then I heard from Beck that you went to the outer market, how long do I have to tell you, don't go anywhere without telling me, and what are you doing all day in the outer market."

"What should I say? Should I say I was in the forest or should I just tell a lie about something, but what...."

He's trying to figure out how to solve this without any problems.

"Hmm, what should I say........" He was a little anxious.

His father suddenly says "don't tell me, you again try to work on the outer market, right"

As soon as he heard that, he replied "ahh yes, yes I was trying to find a job there so that I can save up some money for, us."

Thank God, actually, Zero was always trying to make money because they are quite poor, and also his mother's illness is a reason.

They have a small family, but due to his mother's illness, hospital bills and their daily living costs are quite a lot, that's why his father tries his best to make money, but as you know, a guard job is not the best for making money. It's a decent and safe job but not to make money.

That's why Zero always tries to do every job and save money to find a cure for his mother, all though his father always tells him not to do that, but he never listens.

His father shouted with an intense glance at him "How many times have I told you don't do that? I can make money by doing some extra work, so don't worry about it. I can take care of you and your mother, so don't try too hard yourself"

"I know that you are trying to make money to cure your mother, but you can't just waste your time like that. You are now 13 years old, so try to make friends, not money. If your mother knows that, because of her, you are not living a normal life, do you know how she will feel? So, son, try to live for yourself. Your mother will be happy when she sees you happy."

Zero was focused on listening to his father's words.

He puts his hand on Zero's head and tries to comfort him and says " It must be hard for you. I'm sorry, son, not able to make you and your mother happy, but I can say one thing. Don't listen to anyone, do what you want to do, okay, live your life for yourself, not for others. You got it, it's the age of choice. If you don't choose a path right now, then you will end up like me, so choose what you will do in the future."

I don't what happens, but in my heart, it feels like something heavy is removed from there, my heart feels lighter than before.

Zero always hopes for a happy family, where his father and mother will be with him without any worries. That's a dream he wants to fulfill.

For me, it's my first time hearing that someone tells me to do whatever I want to do. In my previous life, no one cared about me, what I did, or what to achieve, no one said anything, so I do whatever I do.

Now someone is telling me to do whatever I want to do, but this feeling is completely different from my previous life. It feels like someone cares about me now, and they want me to be happy. I don't know how to express this feeling, but it feels better.

Whatever I want, it's the same thing as in my previous life, it all I want that someone to notice me and care about me, and all I want is to have a family that cares about me.

Right now I am zero and this is my family, and they care about me, and I will do everything to protect this family. I promise myself and you zero.

And zero, thank you for giving me what I was looking for; a family.

Zero looks at his father with a bright smile on his face and he says " Yes, I'll do that, father. I will be living my life whatever I want. And what I want is to protect this family of ours. That's my goal."

He looks at zero with a surprising look and thinks "when was the last time I saw him smile like this, is it when his mother was healthy?"

"Yes do that, do whatever you want, father and mother will always be with you, so do what you want." With an emotional expression.

Zero said, "Okay, so now I am gonna visit mom, so see you later dad."

His dad replied, " Oh, before you go, I'll be late. I'll do some overtime, so don't wait for me, okay."

Zero answers him "okay, but careful dad."

Zero left the entrance and walked towards the road.

His father looked at the sky and thought "I wish he was smiling like that all the time."

After sometime later.

"I think this is the hospital. OK, let's go inside."

When he was about to enter the hospital, suddenly he heard a scream that was coming from an alley near the hospital.

"What's that? is someone just screaming over there? hmmm..."

He was thinking for a moment "it's not my problem, I should go visit my mother. Oh, before I go, I need to put out the flower item from my inventory because if I just pop the item out of the air it will be trouble to explain, so it's better to put the item in my pocket"

As he thinks that he heard the scream "really, okay let's just take a quick look and see what is happening"

He quickly opens up inventory and takes out the item, then puts it in his small bag with money.

He went to the alleyway and tried to see what was happening there.

He saw four kids around his age beat up one kid who was also the same age as him.

"hmmm, before I interfere with this, I need to check their level. Are they strong or not"

He saw that two of them were level 3, one of them was level 4 and the last one was level 5.

"hmmm....not bad for the weak, but I can get some exp from this, hahaha"

" Let's beat up some kids in another world, my dreams have come true.....hehehe"

With a terrifying smile on his face.
