Connor POV The first thing I became aware of was the pounding in my skull, the second thing was the cold hard concrete floor underneath me. I groaned as I tried to sit up, the pounding in my skull intensifying with each inch I moved. My throat felt raw as a cough rose from my lungs. After a solid minute of coughing, I spat out a mouthful of phlegm onto the ground, before putting my head in my hands. “Connor?” my dad’s voice echoed through my head. “Dad?” I croaked out as I looked around my dismal surroundings.
