Beth POV A dark void envelops my mind as my memories start to resurface from the abyss that they had been pushed into. Everything comes flooding back and it takes a lot for my heart and soul to keep up. Pain ricochets through my skull and a primal scream emanates from my throat before my body and mind give in to the emptiness of the void. I gradually become aware of the things going on around me; the feel of a soft mattress under me, the tingling touches of my hands being held, the scuffling sound of someone pacing on a carpet, the gentle murmur of concerned voices. The list goes on as I become aware of each sound, touch, and smell. I try to move, but I am stuck in the moment between sleep and wakefulness that allows you to be aware of, but unable to interact with, your surroundings. I
