Suddenly A Luna

*Beep Beep Beep* Reluctantly opening my eyes I reach to turn the alarm off, the red numbers read seven am. I meant to turn it off last night so I could sleep in for once. I turn eighteen at midnight and my only plans are lounging around, eating junk food, binge watching supernatural or vampire diaries and sleeping as much as possible. Pushing my hair out of my face, I rub my eyes to try and wake up. When that doesn't work I get out of bed, almost falling to the floor, cursing my stiff legs. "Even my body doesn't want to be awake right now" I mumble to my empty apartment. Grabbing a plain black t-shirt and a pair of jeans on my way to the bathroom I reluctantly get ready for the day. Trying and failing to detangle my shoulder length, curly red hair my phone starts blaring the jaws theme ring tone letting me know my friend Addyson is calling. Like clockwork she calls every morning just to talk about whatever date she had the night before. I groggily answer the phone. "call back after I've had coffee addyson". "ugh....good morning to you too B. do you answer that way to everyone? or is it just me who gets to be so lucky?" Addyson whines. "Not just you....anyone who dares to call before I've had my morning caffeine. you know that already" I sigh. "what do you want that can't wait until later?" "We have hot dates tonight" Addyson squeals excitedly. "So make sure to wear something sexy instead of the boring s**t you always wear". "pfft....what the heck addy you know I don't like blind dates" I say exasperated. "Oh come on B, it's been forever since you've went on a date". says Addyson Rolling my eyes at the phone I say "That's exactly why I don't need to go. It will be an epic fail. Plus if I can't wear something I'm comfortable in what's the point?" "The point is that you need more friends then just me and you most definitely need a guy in your life too. These guys are HOT and my date specifically is down right amazing, he is the one.... so I need you to meet him please B?" I sigh. "If it will get you to stop talking so early in the morning then okay. Now I am hanging up to go make coffee". A click signals the end of the call. Wandering into the kitchen I fill with dread over this unwanted date tonight. "I don't even have anything to wear" mumbling to my empty apartment. I can't believe Addy is doing this to me again and the day before my eighteenth birthday at that. It's not like I had anything exciting planned anyway but relaxing on the couch with a good book seems the much better option. Don't you think? However with no family and not much social interaction outside of work Addy is my one real friend. She has been there for me since childhood and as much as I grumble at her she is the best friend I could ever want. Jaxsun's POV I stir awake hearing constant banging on my bedroom door. Sniffing the air i realize it is my best friend Damien, who also happens to be my beta. We've been best friends since we were pups. Literally, our parents were close. so we were always playing together, even as infants. I hurriedly get out of my king size bed, throwing on sweat pants i grab from the floor as I rush to the door, opening it so fast i thought i broke it for a second. Damien just stands there smirking at me. Running a hand through my disheveled black shoulder length hair I glare at Damien "What's with all the banging? Where's the fire?" Studying Damiens face i realize its nothing as urgent as i thought. I continue to glare at my beta waiting for him to explain. Damien laughs while throwing his arm around my shoulder leading me to the dining hall on the first floor, where hot coffee and breakfast are waiting for us. Entering the massive dining hall with walls painted grey, I walk quickly across the hardwood floor, heading straight for the coffee pot, snatching a cup off of the coffee bar, I fill it up and take a sip. Leaning against the bar, i turn to face my beta as he pours his own coffee. "So what has you so fired up already today?" I ask. "I ran into a beautiful brunette at the club last night, her scent was so intoxicating I couldn't resist finding her. When our eyes met, my wolf growled mate in my head over and over. I asked her on a date for tonight and she suggested a double date. So her best friend will be there, So what do you say?" Shaking my head i let out a low chuckle. "Wait... congrats on finding your mate. You were banging on my bedroom door making me think there was an attack or that the house was on fire though." "Yeah, uh, sorry about that man. You will understand when we go out tonight though." I nod yes. I doubted this date would amount to anything. Though i decided to go for my best friends sake if not my own. Plus I knew Damien would never let me live it down if I didn't have his back tonight. What is the worst that could happen anyway?
