With the girls all in the carriage we were able to pick up the pace and alternated between running and walking. They were safe, which made it easier for me, Derrick, Kinlee, and Val to focus on our surroundings, because we weren’t also looking out for any issues with them. It made me smile whenever I heard them laughing inside the carriage.
When the elementals first appeared, I was worried about how this would hinder our trip, but they proved to be a blessing. Part of me wondered if the goddess had a hand in this. She would send help when it was needed and we’d all worried about if they could handle a long trip.
