It felt like the doors were unending. It had to have been over an hour since we started opening them. Most of the people inside were grateful to be freed and would take clothing, if they were naked, and leave immediately.
Lacey spoke some of their languages, but she didn’t know all of them, so we would end up with Jocelyn coming in to translate as much as he could. I thought people would be uncomfortable with him, but many of them seemed to relax when they saw him. He might have been a guard, but it was obvious that he was good to them.
There were all sorts of fae people and shifters. There was an Urso, a polar bear. An Alpha Kumiho. I didn’t know the term so I just called him Alpha, but he was a Korean fox shifter. There were some snake shifters and an elephant shifter. I was surprise
