Caught in Between Two Alphas

Chapter 5

"Keep away from my mate!!" a voice suddenly thundered

The betas stopped punching me and they looked back to see who owned the voice that was referring to a lowly slave as his mate

"Who are you?" Emma asked and I managed to sit up to see who it was that has come to my rescue

A huge well built man walked towards me, he had a chiseled jawline that defined his face in a very attractive way

He walked to where I was and picked me up like I weighed nothing

"I said who are you?!" Emma asked again but this strange man carried me away silently

"Stop him!" Emma commanded and the betas ran towards my knight in shining armor

"One moment Mate" he said as he carefully placed me on the ground and turned around

The betas lurched at him and he grabbed the first two by their throat and flinged them off, he grabbed the last two by their arm and twisted it around, the betas screamed in pain as their arms broke and he let them fall to the ground, sprawling in pain

He looked at Emma who seemed to have been frozen with fear

"Daddy!!!!" Emma screamed as she immediately ran off

The man picked me up again and began to walk on

I noticed he was walking towards the mansion and I shook my head

"No, not the mansion please" I pleaded and he looked at me with his deep hazel eyes that was momentarily flashing red

"I am with you, you have nothing to fear Mate" he assured in a deep voice

Mate? Why is he referring to me as his Mate?

"Alpha" a man also with a huge built suddenly rushed to meet the man carrying me

"What are you doing here Kendrick, you are supposed to be at the coronation ceremony" the man carrying me said

"I suddenly couldn't find you so I came to look for you" Kendrick said and looked at me

"Who is she?"

"My Mate, and I am taking her away today!"

Alpha Wyatt is the Alpha of Blue Lake Pack, a pack that has in the years grown to be a very powerful pack that all the other werewolf packs fears

His father died about a month ago and Wyatt was crowned the pack's Alpha

Wyatt's father was a simple man who lived with the principle of staying peacefully in one's lane till one is pushed or attacked before they retaliate but unlike his father, Wyatt is one to attack first, he is always hungry for more power and always looking to expands his pack's territory, that is why he is here today, when his father was alive, Blue Lake Pack and Halmoon pack were the two main powerful packs of the werewolf community so they signed a treaty to respect each other's boundary and never attack each other, but now his father is dead and his pack has grown to be greater and more powerful than Halmoon pack so he sees no reason to why they should continue keeping to such a treaty

He came here to Ashford's Coronation ceremony to notify them that he is breaking the treaty but his attention was momentarily taken away by a sudden delicate fragrance of strawberries

He followed the fragrance till he came upon a lady been beaten up by some men and his wolf raged as it howled Mate!

Wyatt look at the lady in his arm, she looks like she had suffered a lot, a first glance at her and her clothing, one will know that she is a slave, a slave that is obviously being maltreated a lot

Wyatt and Kendrick got to the Mansion and it seemed Ashford had already been crowned the Alpha

The crowd looked at Wyatt as he walked past them carrying the lowliest slave of Halmoon pack

He walked to the front of the mansion where Ashford and his father was seated

"That's him Daddy, that's the man I was talking about" Emma said pointing at Wyatt and hiding behind her father

"Alpha Wyatt? My daughter tells me that you have injured some of our betas brutally but I refused to believe it was you, there must be a mix up somewhere, why are you carrying Renee?" Eric asked and Wyatt looked at Ashford

"You are the new Alpha now so I shall speak to you alone" Wyatt said to Ashford

"This lady, your father called her Renee, she is my Mate and I will be taking her away with me"

"What?!!" Ashford exclaimed

"Do not interrupt me Alpha Ashford for I am not done speaking" Wyatt continued

"Years ago, our fathers signed a treaty to respect each other's boundary and never fight each other but I am here today to let you know that the treaty no longer holds" Wyatt concluded

"What?! You cannot break a treaty signed by your father and I so easily, you will not break the treaty Alpha Wyatt!" Eric stated and Wyatt looked at him

"Seems you do not understand me Eric, I did not come here to seek for your permission regarding breaking the treaty or not, this is only to be a notification, the treaty has been broken, with that said, I'll take my leave" Wyatt said as he turned to leave

"But you cannot take Renee with you!" Ashford said

"Yes, she is our slave and you cannot take her away like that!" Eric agreed but Wyatt ignored as he continued to walk towards his car with Kendrick, his beta, accompanying him

Kendrick opened the car door and Wyatt carefully placed Renee in and he sat beside her, Kendrick got into the driver's seat and drove out of Halmoon pack

"Are you really taking me away from Halmoon pack?" Renee asked weakly, she had been beaten very badly by those betas and she is yet to start healing

"Yes, your name is Renee right? I am Wyatt, Alpha of Blue Lake Pack and I promise to take care of you Mate" Wyatt pledged

"But why?....Why do you keep calling me Mate?" Renee asked

"Because you are my Mate, do you not feel the mating pull between us?" Wyatt asked

"What.....what mating..... mating pull?" Renee asked as her voice trailed off and her eyes closed

"Renee? Renee!" Wyatt was worried on noticing that Renee was now unconscious

"Drive faster Kendrick! Faster!!" Wyatt commanded and Kendrick stepped on the acceleration pad

They soon got to Blue Lake Pack and Wyatt immediately carried Renee into the Mansion

"Call the doctor!!!" Wyatt yelled as walked past the living room and the servants bowed and ran out to bring the doctor

Wyatt placed Renee on the bed like a treasured artifact and he began to pace around

Where is the f*****g doctor?!!

The doctor suddenly ran in with his equipments

"You called for me Alpha" he bowed

"She was beaten up and now she's unconscious, examine her, examine her right away!" Wyatt commanded and the doctor obeyed

The doctor finished his examination on Renee

"It seems like she has endured a lot of physical abuse but she will be fine, the pain from the injuries she got from being beaten up knocked her out but her wolf seems to be a very strong one, her wounds are already beginning to heal, she just needs a little rest and she'll be fine" The doctor assured

"Thank you" Wyatt said to the doctor and he left

Wyatt held Renee's hand, staring at the different scars on her body, his wolf howled with anger, everyone that have hurt his Mate, he is going to kill them, he is going to kill them all....
