"She is my Mate, but I reject her" Ashford announced leaving the crowd surprised, including me, especially me

What the hell?! How can Ashford be my mate?! I feel absolutely nothing towards him if not hatred! There is absolutely no way the son of the man who destroyed my pack and my family will also turn out to be my mate, absolutely no way, there must have been a mix up somewhere, Ashford is not my mate and will never be

"Are you kidding son, how can a such a lowlife slave be your mate?!" Alpha Eric asked looking disgusted

"I wish I am kidding father but I am not, you cannot even begin to imagine how embarrassed I feel admitting this in front of the whole pack and that's why I am rejecting her, because it's already an insult to my pride that the goddess thinks her worthy of being my destined mate" Ashford stated

"Your Mate is your destined half Ashford, the part that completes you and make you whole, are you sure about this?" the priestess of the moon goddess asked for a confirmation

"I am sure priestess, I reject her" Ashford maintained

"And do you know what happens when someone rejects his mate?" the priestess asked

"Yes priestess, they both spend the night here at the moon goddess's shrine praying to the goddess to break their mating pull and bless them with a new mate" Ashford answered

"What?! No!" I blurted before I could stop myself and everyone looked at me

"Do you have a problem with my brother rejecting you Renee? Did you perhaps think he was going to take a lowlife like you as his mate before?" Emma asked and the whole crowd thundered with laughter

"Enough!!!" The priestess yelled and the silence returned again

"If this is settled then you may all leave, except you two" the priestess said and the crowd began to disperse

"Just endure through this Ashford" Alpha Eric said to Ashford and then glanced at me

"I do not even want anything as little as scratch on my son's body when he returns home tomorrow morning else you will be punished for it because this is entirely your fault!" Alpha Eric warned and walked off with Emma

What?! I was still trying to find my feet, what the bloody hell is going on here? Ashford my Mate? How? I was supposed to escape the pack today, how am I supposed to make that escape if Ashford will be by my side the whole time?!

"She's talking to you Renee!" I heard Ashford's voice jerking me out of my thoughts

"What?" I asked looking around and Ashford shook his head

"The priestess is talking to you fool" Ashford said and I looked at the priestess who was standing in front of me

"I'm sorry priestess, what did you say?" I asked

"You two will sit in front of this tree praying for the mating pull between you two to be broken and for the goddess to bring to you a new Mate" the priestess said

"If you ask me I'd say this is pointless priestess cause the mating pull only seems to be taking it's whole effect on me and not her, she doesn't feel a thing!" Ashford uttered and the priestess smiled

"Sometimes things are created a pair because they complement each other and having just one of that is practically useless, just like the eagle cannot soar high in the sky with only one wing, just like we cannot walk with only one leg, she won't be able to feel a thing until the pair that compliments you comes and both of you are by her side, I told you before Renee, yours is a unfamiliar yet unique fate and if you ask for my opinion, doing this is practically pointless because your fates have already been sealed" The goddess said and walked away leaving me alone with Ashford

"What's the meaning of the nonsense she just rambled?!" Ashford asked and heaved a sigh

"Well it doesn't matter, two days from now I will be crowned the Alpha of Halmoon pack and the first thing I will do is abolish this useless tradition of wolves and their destined mate!" Ashford fumed as he sat down, his back laid on the tree and I suddenly got an idea

Yes! Ashford's coronation ceremony! Yes it's perfect! Everyone in the pack and even outsiders will go the the coronation ceremony holding at the mansion, that's where everyone's attention will be at and if I am just able to sneak out of the mansion, then it will be an easy peasy to cross the pack's territory

Yes! This is the perfect plan, I just have to be patient for two days more, just two days more

Through out the night, Ashford couldn't help but steal glances at Renee, that dress, that dress was tempting him, it held her breasts so tightly that they were almost popping out, oh he will do anything to grab and suck on those two petite boobs

Stop it Ashford!; Ashford mentally slapped himself out of his fantasy

He is lusting after a lowly slave, how demeaning, this is all thanks to the mating pull, damn you stupid mate pull!!!

*Two Days Later*

The mansion was bustling with preparation for Ashford's coronation ceremony as guests were slowly begining to arrive. My life at the mansion for the past two days has been worse than before, coupled with being the lowliest slave of Halmoon pack, I also became the girl that was rejected by Ashford and everyone jeered at me but I couldn't care less, I'm escaping the pack today and that is all that matters

Kevin, one of Alpha Eric's betas walked into kitchen to check on the preparations

"I hope you are done cooking cause guests are begining to arrive" Kevin said and I nodded

"Yes I am done, I am cleaning up now"

Another beta suddenly ran into the kitchen to meet Kevin

"He is here Kevin, the Alpha of Blue Lake Pack, he came to attend Ashford's Coronation ceremony" the beta announced

"What?! What has that power monger come to do in our pack?!" Kevin asked in an agitated tone

"I have no idea" the beta shook his head

"Come, we must attend to Alpha Wyatt with care, he was recently crowned the Alpha of his pack upon his father's demise, we had a deal with his father to respect each other's boundary but from what I've heard, Alpha Wyatt is nothing like his father, he is not one that does things nonchalantly, if he is here then there must be a hidden reason behind it" Kevin said and he walked out with the beta

I shrugged as I continued cleaning, the arrival of Alpha whomever is none of my business, I have more important matters to worry about tonight

I finished cleaning up and stealthily sneaked out of the kitchen using the back door

Everyone was hoarded in front of the mansion for the ceremony and the Mansion's backyard was pretty much empty, using that to my advantage, I began to run away from the mansion

This is it!

I am finally escaping tonight!

I got closer and closer to the pack's territory and my heart leaped with happiness, this is really it!

"Stop!" I suddenly heard a voice and I stopped in my track, I turned around to see Emma with four betas and my heart fell, no, do not stop me from escaping please

"Renee? What are you doing so close to the boundaries of the pack territory?" Emma asked

"Nothing..... I....."

"Were you trying to escape?" Emma asked and laughed

"You really think you can escape from us? I will teach you today Renee that there is absolutely no escape for your life of slavery, beat her up guys, beat the life out of her" Emma commanded and the four betas lurched at me, throwing me to the ground on pounding on me like I was an animal

"Keep away from my mate!!" a voice suddenly thundered......
