Drafting the Agreement

Maria arrives early at the Company and starts her day while her boss haven't arrived yet. She opened the parcels she picked up from the pigeon box and segregated the documents accordingly. A bit later her phone rings and answers, his best friend Joshua Miller.

"Hey boxer! What's up?" She asked him

"Hi, I have something important to tell you later. Be there, okay?" Joshua said 

"Of course I'll be there." She replied then the elevator opens and Joshua Elliot stepped out giving her a sharp look. Wondering what's the sharp gaze for?

"He's there, I heard the elevator. See you tonight. Bye" Joshua said and hung up without waiting for her to reply. He doesn't want to put her best friend into trouble; hence he hung up before his Boss says something.

"Morning Mr. Elliot!" she greeted and follows him in his office for their usual morning briefing. Today, she's wearing a knee length vintage deep-V Neck Pencil dress in navy shade and opted for a navy blue fax suede pointed toe stilettos. Joshua can't help but admire the woman's sense of fashion.

"Cancel the meetings today, it's not that very important anyways and move it some other time. Today, we both need to sit down for that agreement that we talk about." He said to Maria

"Sure, let me put these files in my office and I'll be with you" She replied

Back in his Office, he was on his computer drafting already. He stood up and took an extra chair and place it beside him for her.

"You have to contribute for your own good, okay" he said with a naughty smile otherwise I'll take advantage of you being my so-called girlfriend he said to himself.

As if Maria could read his mind "Yes, I will. I don't want you to take advantage of the situation". She replied smirking.

It's almost lunch time when they finished the agreement. When both find it fair and equal Joshua made 2 printouts and each signed on the document and each kept a copy. They look at each other shook hands like a real business partner.

It states:

Joshua Elliot and Maria Cabin will act as a couple for a definite time of 6 months but if unforeseen events takes place then "extension" has to be applied where end date will be advice.

Both has agreed to execute the following"

1- To act as real lovers thus a peck, kiss, a bit of touching is allowed with the exclusion of having       s*x.

2- To as much as possible grant the wishes of Mr. and Mrs. Elliot

3- Attend occasions with them as much as possible

4- Not to let their professional relationship gets affected

5- Not to date nor be sweet to anyone while the contract is valid

Failure to do the above leads to penalty to be imposed by the person offended.

The agreement is simply business only. "No strings attached".

"Let's go for lunch, am starving!" Joshua said grabbing her arm

"Sure, I am all for it" with a big smile on her face when she thinks of food

Where did you park your car "she asked while looking for the Lamborghini Urus but seems nowhere to be seen.

"Get in" Joshua opening the door of a Black Bugatti Chiron and help her in.

"Which restaurant are we going?" she asked him. How many cars this guy has she thought to herself.

"We are having lunch with my Parents; they called me in the morning while on my way to the office. Now they are in my place, so we are having lunch there. You okay with that, right?" He said smiling at her scanning her face.

"What? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" She asked him

He just laughs at her and touches her hand "You'll be fine, I am sorry again for putting you into this trouble. But I am also sorry for its too late for you to turn your back as we both signed the agreement a while ago." He said chuckling

Then the car stops at JE Residence suites, Joshua owns the building and lives at the penthouse which is on the 45th floor. They went inside the building Joshua held Maria's hands and walks towards the elevator that goes straight to the penthouse.

"Stay here and relax while I look for Mom and Dad" He said to her while letting her relax on the white couch

As expected, his Mother was in the kitchen supervising the cooks.

"Hey Mom, we're here! Where's Dad?" Greeting his Mom and giving her a peck

"Hey Son, he is in the balcony go and see him. Where is Maria" Lisa asked her Son

"Living room" He replied and walks towards the balcony

"Maria Sweetie, I am so glad you are here." Lisa said and sat beside her

"Hi Lisa, I was so happy when I found out that we will be having lunch with you guys" Maria said

The two women chatted for a while when the servants called that lunch is ready. They both went to pick up their Man who is in the balcony playing darts. Upon seeing their woman, they stopped playing. Joshua approached Maria and put his arms on her shoulders while his Parents just watch their affectionate son.

"I am so proud of you Son, you made to increase the Company's value for just a short time from your arrival" Kevin said to his Son.

"Joshua, you are doing a great job but remember health is also important. What if Maria is not around that time you got sick? Don't be too hard on yourself. That's why you have people to work for you, let them do their job" Lisa said to his Son

"I don't trust some of these people and I don't have the slightest intention to make them feel at ease with me. If they don't feel like working in the Company because of the new management that soon I will execute, they are free to go." He said to his Parents.

"Well, you know what is better for the Company. We support you for every decision you're going to make. After all we trust you" Kevin assures his Son.

"Son, we've mentioned that we will be around for 3 days for some business and we'll be staying at our own building for those days but for tonight we will stay at Chloe's penthouse just right besides your building as we need to check the maintenance of the building as well. Hope we could see more of you two for those 3 days" Lisa said to Joshua

"Sure thing Mom, we'll try to spend time with you guys while you're here" he replied

They said their goodbyes and head back to the Company. The afternoon was busy. Maria was busy with some personal files that will soon be investigated. At around 6 pm. She went to Joshua's office to check on him as she is leaving for the day.

"Mr. Elliot, do you need anything before I leave?" She asked

"No, I am actually about to leave. Are you meeting your best friend tonight?" He replied and asked at the same time to her.

"Yes, I will meet him at the usual coffee shop and maybe have dinner after" She replied

"Don't forget No.5" He said with a smirk on his face

"Huh! Can Joshua be exempted from that? I know him before you, and he is a very special friend." She replied while following behind him

But Joshua just walks towards the elevator leaving her in the office. Maria just shook her head in disbelief and took her phone and opened her camera to shot the agreement that she will show to Joshua later. 

"Unbelievable man, greedy!" She thought to herself while getting ready to leave.
