Meeting his Family for the first time

They left her car at the Company's ground and left using his Lamborghini Urus. While traveling, Joshua tells Maria a bit about his Family and discusses their set up. Both agreed to put their acts in black and white for their own good.

“Why did you reject all the things I offered in return of my request?” He asked her seriously.

“If you help a person, help without expecting or claiming anything in return.” She merely answered him. On her mind the agreement is enough at least for her. She knows there will be consequences for all of these, but with the agreement that they will both do on Monday will help her to put herself in her position. All she has to do is control her emotions but she knows it’s going to be difficult. What makes it sadder, she knows that there is a timeline for this scheme but for now she just wants to enjoy the feeling of being his so-girlfriend while it last.

Meanwhile Joshua was happy and at the same time sad for he knows everything was just an act and soon everything will be over. He’s been attracted to her from the first time he met her but had no intention to pursue her. His feelings grew when they met again but he was fighting his feelings. She really has a clean heart for not even asking anything out of this crazy setup.

After a long drive they eventually reached the ancestral house. What appears before her was a huge Mansion. It didn't make her uncomfortable at all as she is proud of all the hard work that helped her get to where she is now. . She might not be rich but at least she gets to eat more than the regular meal a day, and she had afford to purchase a luxury car and own a flat where she live comfortably, lastly some businesses in her Country. For her that is enough. What she is hoping, is that somehow whoever lives inside will treat her humanely and accept her for being who is she is even if this is all an Act.

“Hey you okay” Joshua asked while parking the car

“Yes I am Mr…Honey.” She answered and both of them laugh.

Joshua went to her side and opens the passenger seat and helps her out. The door opens and the butler greeted them. They went inside holding hands when the elevator opens in the lobby of the Mansion, revealing his Parents.

“We heard your car, so we didn’t wait for Peter to announce you.” His Dad said

Giving his Parents a quick hug and kiss on their cheeks he introduces Maria right away to them.

“Father Mother, this is Maria my Executive Assistant whilst my Girlfriend. If she seems familiar with you both, it’s because she works in our Company command center. We’ve been having a long distance relationship. Then, when I took over Dad’s position and you guys summoned me back here, I took that opportunity to take her under my Management. So I pirated her from the Legal Affairs. We’ve been keeping our dating under the wraps as we both value privacy. I sincerely apologized for surprising you of our hidden affairs” He explained to his Parents who were just smiling and attentively listening to their Son whilst was amazed at the beauty of the Woman in front of them.

“Maria, these are my Parents, Kevin and Lisa. The real founder of the Elliot Group.” He introduces his Parents to her.

“Good Afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Elliot! I apologize for we kept our relationship for quite some time from you” She said to them.

“Sweetie, I am very sure that you and my Son have a good reason for doing that. What matters now is that we finally met. Anyways, why don’t we continue talking in the Library while waiting for our lunch” Lisa said to all of them then taking Maria away from Joshua.

“How are you and Mother doing now? Joshua asked while giving his Father a hug and a light tap on the back, then walks towards the Library following her Mother and Maria.

In the library, the Family were happily chatting, Joshua fills them in with what is happening in the Company and partly about his relationship with Maria.

“Maria, we are pleased to finally know you. We appreciate your honesty for telling us about your past. What matter is seeing you both happy with each other” Lisa said to Maria and giving her hand a squeezed.

“I agree with my Wife Maria. Anyways, Joshua, why don’t we get something to drink at the bar and leave the girls here? Lunch still not ready anyways.” Kevin said to his Son.

“Honey, I’ll just join Dad at the bar in the other room.” Joshua said and left Maria and his Mom

“Son, your girlfriend seems a nice person. Not only is she beautiful but she’s very independent, obviously a very tough woman.” His Dad said

Later on, the guys came back with drinks in their hands. Joshua sat beside Maria and plays with her fingers. Suddenly, the butler called and informed that Dinner is ready.

“Let’s go Son, your Mom will not return Maria to you for quite some time now” Kevin said to his Son laughing

“Maria, my Son is not a very affectionate man but the way I see him now is different, obviously you’re making my son very happy. As a Mom, seeing his Son happy with his partner makes me happy too.” Lisa said to Maria

Hearing this saddened her instead of being pleased. Obviously he is good in acting as his Mom is buying it.
