The four letter word

Hana is a 23-year-old girl. “I wasted these years without doing much, my life seemed to be meaningless. I lost everything; my family, my friends, my love, my life …. Why should I let this painful life live on this earth? To be true, my life doesn’t deserve this much pain and who are those people who did this to me? Is it my parents or did I sacrifice my life for my sister and brother as per their needs and wishes? And my  friends don’t care about me anymore .Why did my only love leave me for another woman ...or am I too naïve to lead this life? Doesn’t my character fit into the rules set by society? I think that is the ultimate conclusion I can derive from these bad experiences I gained so far. I lost my job yesterday and now the police is looking for me. They are thinking that I am the culprit while I really don’t know who took the money from there. OK …let me free myself from this world. Let me be a bird that flies so high in the sky. Let me breathe some fresh air.” Now she is on the top floor of her school. She doesn’t know where to go or what to do. So helpless, she decided to give up her life and the perfect place she found was the top building of her school. This is the place where she learned the best values in her life. She learned to dream big, but in the end, the only thing that was left in her was the values. “Those values can’t be any more applicable to me …that’s why I am in this condition right now.” So she decided to end it peacefully without making much noise. She was about to jump to the ground from that tall building on this cold night. Suddenly, a hand surrounded her waist and pulled her backwards. She fell down, but not on the terrace of that tall building, but on the top of the person who came to rescue her from suicide. She was hungry and hadn’t eaten anything as she was hiding away from the police in the daytime .As her mind was too messed up, she was unconscious , she felt as if she was about to lose consciousness . But she could feel gentle, cold hands trying to wake her up by patting her face. She couldn’t really see the face of that person, but she felt as if he could save her from every danger that she was going to face in future. “Miss, can you hear me ….miss ….Are you ok?” His voice is gentle, and she fell into the arms of that saviour. The gentle breeze in the morning touched her face and a kind of warm light, just something like the morning sunlight, fell over her face slowly that forced her to open the eyes. But she doesn’t want to because the place where she is lying is warm and soft. It feels like I have finally reached a peaceful place …is it heaven, because it smells nice, it feels so good and I just want to lie down like this for hours. Suddenly, something blocked the warm light that fell into her face. What is it … is it getting darker? Am I moving into hell … What is this? Am I going to face bad things just like I had while I am alive? I must open my eyes. She, with a fear of pain, opens her eyes slowly. A cute but handsome man was standing right in front of her. Is he a God or is he an angel? “Are you alright, how are you feeling right now? Did you have a sound sleep?” Her eyes widened on seeing him, suddenly she remembered about the incident that occurred last night. She felt embarrassment and he understood it. “OK miss, relax, take your time, Annie will help you, she will be here. I will be waiting outside for you. Take your time and get ready”. He gave her a warm smile and moved out of the room. Hana was surprised and she was still sitting in that warm and soft bed. The room is pretty big. Is he a rich CEO? Like we can see in some rom-coms. If it is as per comic, then he will be a rich man who is living alone, but he owns the market and controls the whole economy of the country. Thousands of workers will be working in his office. And after that, one day, he helped a poor girl and eventually fell in love with her. Soon they will get married and have children with a happy family. WOW …so cute... But wait … rom–com. Am I insane? I am thinking too much … Ohh God Suddenly, a young beautiful girl in her mid-twenties entered the room. “Hai, myself Annie, I am here to help you.” “Who is she ? Is she his staff, something like a manager or personal secretary, maybe. After an hour, Hana went out with Annie. Sir, is there anything more which I can do?" "Thank you Annie for your help. If there is anything, then I will contact you immediately”. “Hana, feel free to ask anything to the servants, consider it as your home will meet you soon. Bye…” Hana felt a little uncomfortable, but she gave a warm smile to Annie for helping her. “Myself Harry. You are at my home. No, I brought you here last night. Are you OK now, because last night you were tired and felt unconscious”.  Hana made a fake smile in her face out of embarrassment and said “Thank you Mr. Harry for helping me. Let me leave this place soon and she stood up and was about to go. Then Harry held her hand all of a sudden and said, “Don’t leave”. She looked at him in surprise. He suddenly said... “You are still not ok, rest here for few days. The doctor suggested it. To be frank, she also wanted a safe place to hide from the police and so, she nodded her head, giving a signal that she was ready to be there for a few days. OK, let’s have breakfast, and you can call me Haru. Haru … my name is Hana. They throw a warm and lively smile towards each other.
