I don’t blame Ruby for not believing me. After the way I reacted yesterday, I wouldn’t believe myself either. I had showed utter disgust for her and while a bit of that was true, it wasn’t directed at her. I was mad that another man was touching my wife. I was jealous, and I ended up taking it out on her.
Ruby and I may not be the normal romantic couple, but that doesn’t mean I would look the other way when another man tries to get too close to her. Even as friends back then, I never liked it.
