I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didn’t even know when I slept off. The next time I opened my eyes, Asher was leaning over me and his lips were on mine. I didn’t know it was him at first and my mind initially processed panic. He had never been back from work that early, so I wasn’t expecting him.
“Relax, it’s me,” he whispered, finally calming my nerves a bit.
I let out a sigh of relief after a few seconds to myself while he just sat there and stared at me.
“You’re back early,” I finally found my voice and he nodded.
“Yes, I told you I would, but I know you didn’t believe me, so this is me showing you that I meant it.” He chimed in while I smiled.
