Week 3: How to write the beginning/Introducing Shawn

OUTLINE

SCENE 1:

Ariana together with Nory and Nathan was sitting at the company pantry. Nate and Nory chattering about how Nory had a date with their trainer last night while Ariana was sitting silently parallel to them watching Netflix on her phone while nibbling on a korean biscuit stick.

SCENE 2:

ariana's focus on the show will be interrupted when a loud laugh of a baritone voice echoed on the four corners of that pantry. She looked up to see a tall, dark and handsome man entering the pantry. His arms wrapped around a girl' (whom she believed belongs to the other team) shoulder. Unconsciously, Ariana eyed him until he successfully ordered his carbonara and sat by the tall chair by the glass wall.

SCENE 3:

ariana will ask who the man was and Nate would tease her. Ariana would glare at Nate as she goes back to the show she was watching. She'll take one last glance of the man before the scene ends.

Scene 4:

Ariana didn't went back to their training room with her workmates. Nory was too noisy and she was just way too much of an introvert to bear with her. She still has 30 minutes left of her lunch break and so she'll decide to hit the convenient store across the road. It's 2 am, and she's cold. So she hid her hands in the pockets of her hoodie. It was silent, no one around. She was about to plug her bluetooth earphones on her ear when she heared faint noises. Curiosity strikes, she followed the noises only to see two figures hiding behind the wall at the dark turning point.

It was the man from the pantry earlier with the girl he was with. Her arms was on his neck. They were kissing.

Ariana was supposed to be disgusted but instead, she felt an unexplainable heat ran up from her feet to her head. Her breathing became heavy and it felt like she was drowning. She can't take her eyes off those two people as their tongues battled.

Her knees weakened that she accidentally kicked the flower pot just beside her. The two immediately broke through each other's grasp. With a panic, Ariana immediately left that place.

What the hell was that?

FINAL

Silently sitting by the wooden seat nibbling on the almond pepero while Grey's Anatomy was playing on her screen, Ariana wrinkled her forehead as Nory's high pitched laugh lingered in her ear.

"He drinks well! And he's hot as hell!" The girl giggled pertaining to their trainer whom she had a date with after their shift last night.

What if I tell the HR that you two are flirting you disgusting love birds! Ariana's bitter mind cursed.

Annoyed by the conversation Nate and Nory was having, she was about to fetch her earphones out of her pocket when a loud baritone voice laughed, echoing on the four corners of that room.

"Man! That's hilarious!" The guy roared.

Ariana unconsciously lifted her head up, her gazes dropping at the new comer.

This man was tall, around 6'3 and man! She can't deny this man is gorgeous! He has his hair brushed up, his perfectly tanned skin compliments his oversized shirt and black ripped jeans paired with a high cut converse. Two layers of silver chain together with a dog tag was dangling around his neck.

The eyebrow slit and black stud earring on his left ear completes the badboy look. This man looks like Leonardo DiCaprio's badboy version.

Ariana's eyes followed the man as he grabbed a plate of carbonara. The girl with her was still giggling as he cracked jokes. Both of them sat by the high chair just by the glass wall where they can enjoy the 20th floor city view.

"Who was that?" Ariana asked nodding at the man as if she was pointing at him with her head.

"Ooohhh guess who has a crush?" Nate teased in a sing song tone.

Ariana glared at Nate, piercing right through his soul with her cold gazes. Seeing Nate's teasing smirk, she tsked, "Forget it."

Her eyes dropped on the phone again, continuing to watch where she had left off.

"He's Shawn Zacharias. A part of Team Clyde. I believe they are stationed on the bay right next to us." Nate explained giving up with his fun little teasing sessions.

"Yeah I don't care. I just think his style was cool. I'm more handsome though." Ariana scoffed.

She never opened her mouth again. Instead, she busied herself watching how Nico and Levi kissed each other by the elevator.

Just before Shawn exited the pantry, she took one last glance of the lad making sure no one will notice.

"Do you want us to come with you?" Nate asked as the three of them together with Nory stood right next to the pantry exit.

Ariana shook her head, "Me time."

Without letting her companions reply, Ariana took her way out the company straightly walking towards the elevators that will lead her down and out that very building.

The very moment she stepped out of the company building, she closed her eyes and exhaled trying to enjoy the 2 am breeze.

There was no one around at the moment. The mall right next to their building is already closed and everything she can see was the glass walls of the closed shops with mannequins displayed in them.

She lifted her arms up to look at the time, she still has 30 minutes to spend. She took her time walking with no specific destinations.

Finally! Sometime alone! Her inner voice rejoiced. Her "Me time" has always been the best time of the day for her. No Nate trying to scold her with random life lectures, no Nory and her high pitched voice telling stories about the boys she hooked up with, no Queenie and her repetitive stories about how she cried over her ex boyfriend she broke up with 2 weeks ago.

Just her, herself with no distractions.

She was about to sit down on the nearby bench to enjoy the rest of her 30 minutes in peace when faint giggles broke down the silence.

"What if we get caught?" A woman's voice asked.

"No we won't, Darling. You have a superhero with you." A familiar baritone voice replied.

The conversation was ended by weird clicking and soft mooching noices. Oit of curiosity, Ariana followed the faint sounds and it led her to two familiar figures grasping each other behind the wall.

It was that Shawn guy with the girl he was flirting with few minutes ago in the pantry.

Their lips are crashing with each other, tongues clicking and battling, hands roaming here and there. Their auras screams lust.

"Ew!" Ariana whispered to herself.

But then, just the opposite of her words, she felt a strange heat running up from her feet up to her head. The feeling was very foreign to her. Her usual self would've ignored the disgusting scenery and walked out as if she saw nothing but this time, ahe didn't. She hid herself by the bush as her eyes locked on those battling tongues. Her breathing became heavy amd her knees started to weaken causing her to stumble and accidentally kick the flower pot just beside her.

"Someone's here!" The girl squeaked.

"Who's there?" Shawn seconded.

Panic creeping through her, Ariana immediately ran out of that place making sure those two didn't saw her.

Panting and catching her breath, she met Nate just by the building entrance.

"Yo! How's the me time?" He asked.

She never intended to answer. Instead, she ran past him aa she quickly slid herself through the comfort room door. Running towards the sink, she splashed some water on her face and stared at her own reflection on the mirror.

What the hell was that?
