The Billionaire's Secret
Maya never imagined she would meet a billionaire while working the night shift at a small hotel.
But when a tall man in a black suit walked through the doors, everyone suddenly became quiet.
“Mr. Adrian Cole,” the manager whispered.
Adrian was famous, wealthy, and feared by almost everyone in the city. Yet when his eyes met Maya’s, his expression softened.
“You,” he said. “I need your help.”
Maya frowned. “Why me?”
“Because you're the only person here who didn't look at me like I was a walking bank account.”
She laughed. “Maybe because I don't care how much money you have.”
For the first time that night, Adrian smiled.
The next morning, Maya received an envelope containing a surprising offer: become his temporary personal assistant for three months.
She wanted to refuse.
Then she saw the salary.
It was enough to pay her mother's medical bills and save their tiny home from being sold.
So she accepted.
But on her first day at Adrian's mansion, Maya discovered something strange.
A photograph of herself sat on his desk.
She stared at it in shock.
“Why do you have my picture?”
Adrian's smile disappeared.
“Because,” he whispered, “I've been searching for you for ten years.”
Maya's heart stopped.
“What?”
Adrian looked away.
“Your father left me a debt… and you are the only person who can help me collect it.”
