Out of the pack

“I, Xavier Lewis, the future Alpha of the Sky Prowlers pack hereby reject Amelia as my mate!!” He yelled pointing his fingers to her face as he spoke. The minute he said that, side murmurs from the left and right hand of the room echoed in the hall. As everyone had something to say about what had just happened. Amelia clutched on to her chest, which suddenly felt so heavy from the moment he had her embarrassed out in the public. She suddenly felt a strong pull away from him when he looked away. “No!!” she cried out as tears rolled down her cheeks. She had her head raised, staring up at him as he stood right in front of her. “Don't you ever make such a mistake if coming to me ever, to make such an announcement” he added aggressively still pointing his fingers to her. “The nerve of you to think I would accept a weak wolf like yourself to be mates with me!!” he said. “Never!!!” he yelled as his voice echoed across the room. She had her face down to the ground, the minute she couldn't stand watching him yell at her right in front of other guests. After a couple of seconds of her being soaked in her own tears, she had her head up as she scanned through the crowd watching every eye that witnessed her humiliation. “Where exactly did I go wrong?” she asked herself, breaking into tears. And then, she met with Anto, her elder brother. Who stood among the crowd, as he had his fingers running through his hair. He couldn't stand watching his Half sister get humiliated in front of the guests present in the ballroom and so walked out of the ballroom without a single word. Although they weren't blood related, he still treated her more like his better half sister. Xavier, after much rants and yelling and now feeling satisfied with himself over what he had just done had his back against her as he walked away. At that moment, the side murmurs increased and this time became even worse. Amelia wiped her eyes, as she summoned up courage in pulling herself up. She got up on her feet, leaving her heels behind at the mansion as she stormed out of the house barefooted into the woods. And just then, the rain poured heavily. Amelia made her way through the trees and woods of the forest, heading back to the house where she had come from. The pain she felt over her rejection, caused all she had ever hoped for in life to all come to an end in her head. A Life where she would have the chance to be happy. “I never bargained for any of this” she muttered to herself as she ran through the Woods. The heavy downpour had nothing on her, as all she wished for was to be washed away by the rain. And was hoping to find peace from within herself in the process. Life as it was to her now, had no meaning or worth. She fell to the ground as he broke into tears. Amelia had her eyes closed, crying out to the moon goddess. “What wrong did I make at any point in time?” she yelled at herself. Drops of water from the sky fell hard against her hair running down to her body as she was completely soaked under the rain. “What is my offense?” she cried out. And then, after a couple of minutes of wailing and crying under the rain she got up on her feet as she went on with her journey to the house. The rain poured so heavily that she was starting to shiver under the rain. She ran up ahead, and in a couple of minutes finally got up to the house. On getting home, she had heard voices from the living room. And could tell they were that of her mother and father. She had suddenly felt relieved, knowing they were home to heat out her cries concerning what had happened. But then, in getting close she realized they were having an argument. “Was it ever my fault we found her laying by the lake with no clothes on, food or even a good shelter for a child?” her mother asked. “And now I'm saying this to you, you shouldn't have!!” Her father yelled. She paused by the door, holding on to the door knob as she shivered out in the cold. But was more concerned in what they were suddenly arguing about as she had never for once witnessed them arguing over anything of such. “She has brought shame to my name!!” Her father yelled. Shame?… she asked herself. “How would I have known from the onset that she was weak?” her mother yelled at her father. “I blame all of this on you!!” He added as he had his hand banging hard on the shelf. Amelia suddenly wondered how possible it was that they had heard. Everybody knows about my rejection… she thought as she broke into tears. And even worse, she finally learned about her true identity knowing for a fact she had been rescued from the lake by these people she had grown to call her Father and Mother. Amelia clasped her hand to her mouth as tears rolled down her cheeks. She had wanted to see their faces when they learn she now knows everything they have been hiding from her. And then, she had the door pulled open as she walked in. Drops of rain dripped down her hair onto her clothes and down to the floorboard of the house as she entered. They had both been shocked to find her standing right in front of them and so were confused about what to say or do as they all stared at themselves in silence. “Ami…” Her mother said standing up on her feet walking towards her. “I…” “I didn't mean any of what I just said,” she said walking towards her as she had her hand stretched out wanting to hug her. Don't you dare lay your hands on me..!!!
