Him
Chapter one
Hazel's POV
He pressed the tip of my c**t with his thumb, and a muffled moan escaped my lips. He nibbled on it, moving his thumb over and over. I threw my head back and pressed my lips together, trying to keep my moans from slipping past my lips. Dear God. I wanted to let the moment consume me. I wanted to stop thinking, to stop fighting it. I wanted to moan, to curse, to surrender to everything he is making me feel. But I couldn't. Because the man between my legs was Alejandro Castillo, my sister's fiancé. On my sister's wedding night.
“Hazel, you are so wet right now,”
His voice was low beside my ear as he looked at me, and for a moment, I forgot how wrong this was.
I could feel his bulge pressing against my thighs. He stood before me, and suddenly everything I'd spent years trying to forget came back at once. I knelt down gently.
“Look at me, Hazy,” he whispered, using the nickname he had given me years ago. That nickname shouldn't have affected me anymore. But hearing it from him made me feel Sixteen again, the girl who had loved him without ever telling him.
“All those years acting innocent, Hazy,” he said with a smirk.
I unfastened his belt, my hands moving faster than my thoughts. I couldn't take my eyes off him. I freed his member and the familiar scent of cedarwood drifted toward me, and my breath caught unexpectedly.
My eyes flushed at the bulkiness of his d**k. I could see the veins, and all I could think about was how badly I wanted him inside the walls of my cunt. I opened my mouth as wild as I could, and generously filled my mouth with it. I let my tongue roll around it. My right hand supported the d**k going in and out of my mouth while I let my other hand play with his balls. He groaned deeply.
“You’re full of surprises, Hazy,” he murmured.
I barely heard him. Ten years of loving Alejandro Castillo from a distance. Ten years of swallowing my feelings every time he smiled at my twin sister, Halo. Ten years of convincing myself I had moved on when, deep down, I knew I never had. As the thought ran through my mind, I lay back on the bed, my heart pounding as I spread my legs wider, unable to look away from him.
“f**k me!”
FIVE MONTHS EARLIER:
“Miss Hazel Valencia,” Mr. Andrea called out, his eyes filled with a warm smile.
Every eye in the boardroom was fixed on me. My heart pounded against my chest, and suddenly, I became too aware of every little movement I made. The strangest part of it all was seeing Mr. Andrea smile so warmly at me. It was unusual. I wasn’t used to seeing that side of him.
“Up! Stand, Miss Hazel,” he repeated, gesturing with his hands.
With shaky fingers, I pushed back my chair and carefully stood. My knees felt weak, and I could feel a bead of sweat trickling down my legs. I tried to keep my composure, but my nerves were threatening to betray me.
“On behalf of Aurelia Atelier Interiors & Design Studio, the Interior Design contract application has been approved. You have been selected as the Creative Director for the redesign and restructuring of The Bellavista Royal Tower & Residences,” he announced with a smile.
He stepped closer and extended his hand toward me for a handshake.
For a moment, I just stared at him, unable to fully process his words. Whispers spread across the boardroom as everyone reacted to the announcement.
“Thank you,” I managed to say, forcing my voice to remain steady as I accepted his handshake.
Before the moment could settle, a voice interrupted.
“Mr. André, I believe we need to revisit the applications for this contract,” Zoey said, rising slightly from her seat. “I have concerns about her being appointed to this position.”
The room became silent.
She turned her gaze toward me, her eyes filled with bitterness.
"We all know Hazel..." she began, pausing deliberately as she let the tension settle over the room. "And I don't believe she's the right fit for a project of this magnitude."
"Her application was chosen because she's the right fit for the job," he replied firmly.
"With all due respect, sir, we all know Hazel has been with this company for over a year, yet she hasn't handled a single contract. We can't have her directing the biggest project this company has ever taken on. We stand to lose everything."
"Exactly!"
"She's right."
Murmurs of agreement spread through the room as several people nodded in support of her argument.
There will be no further discussion on this matter. The decision has been made," Mr. André said, his voice firm enough to silence the room instantly. He swept his gaze across everyone present before continuing.
"We chose Miss Hazel because I believe she is capable of handling this project, and I expect every one of you to respect that decision. If you have concerns, keep them professional. This meeting is over."
Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked out of the conference room. The moment he left, all eyes shifted to me.
My heart hammered against my chest. I still couldn't believe it. Me? Creative Director for the Bellavista Royal Tower & Residences.
I had never been chosen for anything significant before. Yet, the proposal I had spent countless sleepless nights working on had paid off.
I couldn't stop smiling as excitement bubbled inside me. I couldn't wait to tell my sister, Halo.
I hurried toward my office, already reaching for my phone, when someone stepped directly into my path. Zoey. I abruptly stopped
She folded her arms across her chest, her expression twisted with contempt.
"Are you sleeping with him?"
"What?" I looked at her, stunned.
"You heard me." Her lips curled. "Don't make me repeat myself."
A mixture of shock and anger tightened my chest.
"Move."
"No one gets handed an opportunity like this out of nowhere, Hazel. Not in this company."
I stepped around her.
"Believe whatever you want."
"I will find out," she called after me. "So keep up the innocent act while you still can, Hazel."
I didn't bother turning around. Instead, I walked straight into my office and shut the door behind me.
I still didn't know how to deal with people like Zoey.
Maybe it was because I had spent most of my life with Halo by my side. Whenever someone tried to make my life miserable, she always knew exactly what to say and do. But things were different now. I was alone in a new city, and there was no one to fight my battles for me.
I dropped into my chair and exhaled slowly.
Just then, my phone rang.
The moment Halo's name flashed across the screen, my mood instantly lifted. A grin spread across my face as I accepted the video call.
Her face appeared on the screen, and she was smiling just as brightly as I was.
"I have good news!" we both blurted out at the same time.
For a second, we simply stared at each other before bursting into laughter.
"You go first," I said, leaning forward in my seat.
My heart was still racing from the news I'd received, but curiosity got the better of me. The joy on Halo's face told me something amazing had happened.
I listened eagerly, hoping she was about to tell me she'd gotten a promotion or landed one of those opportunities she'd been working so hard for.
I'm getting married!" she squealed, shoving her hand toward the camera so I could get a better look at the ring sparkling on her finger.
"Oh my God!" I practically screamed. "You're engaged? Since when? And who is he? I didn't even know there was a man in the picture. Halo, how could you keep this from me?"
She laughed, a light blush creeping onto her cheeks.
"I didn't think it was that serious at first, babe. I was waiting to see where things would go."
"Well, clearly they went somewhere," I teased. "Now stop stalling and tell me who the lucky guy is."
Her smile widened.
"It's Alejandro Castillo."
For a moment, everything seemed to go still.
"The Alejandro Castillo?" I asked, blinking several times as if I'd heard her wrong.
"Yes, the Alejandro Castillo," she said with a laugh. "God, it's actually funny when you think about it."
"What's funny?"
She pointed at me through the screen.
"Don't tell me you've forgotten. You used to have the biggest crush on him in high school. You were completely obsessed, dude."
A nervous laugh escaped my lips, though my heart was beating far too fast.
Of all the men in the world… Alejandro Castillo.
