"Hey beautiful," an unfamiliar voice whispered in my ear making me gasp and turn around. The man was probably older than my father. He was holding a glass in his hand which was almost empty but by the way he looked, I was sure that this wasn't his first glass. He got closer when I didn't answer, making my back hit the kitchen bar. "Who are you?" "I–uh, I am with Huncho." I thought that maybe bringing Huncho's name would scare him away, however, he smirked. "How can Huncho pull such a gorgeous girl like you?" His hand cupped my side bringing my heart to my knees. Before I could do or say anything, the man was pulled away from me. "So courageous of you Johnson to mess with people from my side in my own house, aren't you?" Huncho's hand was around his neck, pinning him to the kitchen wall. "If I see you messing with my people again, I will ruin you, Johnson." The man nodded. Huncho let him go. He held his throat, breathing and coughing as Huncho was pulling me away. "Did you just save me?" I teased him, trying to lighten the atmosphere, not wanting him to tell me I told you so. "No," he coldly answered, "I saved myself some trouble. Now, will you go to your room?" What he said triggered me and at that moment, more than anything, I wanted to break his orders. "When I am done having fun," I said and walked away. After that scene, everyone was amused watching me. They started dancing together on slow music then loud music then slow again. I just sat on the side and watched them. I tried to keep my eyes to myself but they kept pointing at Huncho or looking for him. And he kept his attention on me too but every time I sensed that he would turn to look at me, I pretended to be busy, looking at someone else or doing something else. "Do you dance?" I gasped. "You scared me, Fred. Again." He laughed. "If you don't feel uncomfortable why are you staying?" "What is it with everyone obsessing over the idea of me staying in my room?" I angrily said, "I want to have fun too." "This is not a party, Elena." "Yes, it is. Music, people, alcohol, I don't see how this couldn't be a party." He shook his head and sipped on his drink. "Even Damien is having a blast!" I chuckled and watched him. An unfamiliar girl was barely sitting on his lip, his hands were on her hips and his head was buried in her neck leaving kisses here and there as he whispered things in her ears I didn't want to know. From the clothes she was wearing I hoped she was not his girlfriend. "Damien is always having a party, you know. He can't sleep on his bed if the other side is empty," he laughed and turned his eyes to me. "See? Why can't I have fun for one night too?" We stood silent for a few seconds, scanning the room for more surprises. "Do you want to dance?" He yelled over the music. I smiled. "Of course!" I got up, holding my long dress to avoid falling and making a fool of myself. I walked a little closer to where everyone was dancing. I placed my hand on Fred's shoulders and we started moving in sync. "You don't know how to dance, do you?" I joked. "Does it show?" "Horribly." I smiled and he nodded. "You're not the only one doing what they can't do." "What am I doing that I can't do?" "Dealing with these people." "I can." Before he could answer, a hand pulled me away from Fred. I was forced into Huncho's arms, his hand gripped my waist and my hands were forced on his shoulders. "What are you doing?" "Follow my lead," he groaned in my ears, sending chills down my spine. "Wow, you can dance!" He carefully leaned closer to my ears, making his breath hit my neck and his hands tightened around my waist. "I am full of surprises." Even if it was just a few minutes, I savored every second I spent dancing with him. My head was a few inches above his shoulder and our chests were hugging. I watched the vein in his neck react to the way he was breathing. His cologne matched well his strong personality and deep voice but it was somehow comforting. Maybe because I knew that this smell was his and he was my safe space. I didn't want an answer. I just wanted to be there. To live in the moment. But it didn't last for long. I was pulled back into reality when he pulled away. He gently pushed me inside his office, walked in with me, and closed the door behind him. "Elena, what are you doing?" I let out a sigh. I didn't want to deal with this after such a good moment. I thought he wanted to dance with me but turned out that he only did it to lead me into the office just to give me a few words to send me to my room. But I accepted the challenge. I knew I would play his game. I would annoy him. I would have him pissed and not be able to do anything. "I am not doing anything, Huncho." "Elena, go back to your room." "How can you have a party and not let me join?" I smirked. "How do you call that a party, Elena?" He was getting angry and I was getting amused. "I want to be surrounded by some fun instead of staying in my room all day and doing nothing." "Yes but—" His words were interrupted by Sanchez who barged into the office and yelled Huncho's name, "I've been looking for you, where have you been?" I looked at Huncho's reaction for any consolation but I got scared even more. "What happened?" "We got a letter delivered to the house by the Ozils."
