Epilogue
Dark ....
Ten-year-old Aya woke up because her youngest brother's pet puppy was barking at her
"Dog." She called to the puppy and hugged it. "Stop."
The puppy seemed to understand her and stopped barking.
Because of the silence she remembered his father's order not to go out until there was still noise outside but now neither insects, frogs nor even night birds can be heard.
What has happened? She asked herself.
Carrying the puppy, she crawled to the location of the tunnel out of her hiding place.
She and her brother are here often so even though she sees nothing she knows where she is going.
When she came out, the light from the full moon that penetrated the broken windows of their small home met her.
"Mother ... Father ...." She cried as she passed the scattered things inside the house.
It was as if a giant had shaken their house and everything was in disarray.
Even the puppy she's carrying as if crying with her.
She wen't out of their house, through the moonlight, her bones seemed to soften on what she witness.
She knelt down and released the puppy. In front of him were the corpses of their villagers.
"W-what ...."
